    Hello everyone!

I have a 2007 4.7 with 138,000 miles. Recently my check engine, VSC, 4LO, and traction control lights have illuminated!

Checked and cleaned all 4 speed sensors as well as gas cap.

Truck is currently in limp mode and I’m clueless what to do next! Please help!

So, dealership confirmed secondary air pump issue. They want $2600 for the repair.

I’m hoping I can replace it myself. Do you all recommend OEM parts for this? Is it an easier fix on the 4.7 compared to the 5.7?

    Update...

My CEL was a P2442 which led me to a bank 2 issue meaning the passenger side of my truck. I replaced the secondary check valve on the passenger side...CEL, Traction Control, 4LO and other lights still on. So, I went ahead and replaced the actual air pump under the fender on the passenger side of my truck...LIGHTS STILL ON!! I don't know what to do next. However, now I have new codes popping up: P2437, P0419, and P0415. I don't know what do to next! Bypass kit? Begin replacing valve and pump on Bank 1 side? Any advice appreciated!

I’ve disconnected the battery as well as used my code reader, but can’t erase the codes

Hi this is a month old....

I’ve got the 2009 sequoia 4.7l engine - just ordered the Hewitt bypass.

I was getting 2437 and 2442 both...I ordered the kit and an extra harness for the 2442 code.

Getting here next week, so will post here how it goes.

Luckily I have the 4.7 engine and all the work for the block off plates are right on top.

Actually I have the codes backwards.

2437 is the “low circuit bank 2”

I connected it yesterday. It was very very easy. Took about an hour - then just had to figure out which terminal to hook the purple starter wire to.

    No codes!

    Yahtzee.

Also I have pics of anyone wants them.

Should have done this a long time ago

Why not just do a bypass kit? If it’s anything to do with the secondary air injection, it will just come back.

    Sorry I was very unclear.

I installed the Hewitt kit and all codes are clear!

Glad to hear it - those bypass kits are great. The secondary air injection systems are absolutely worthless.

I've started a petition on Change.org for Toyota to address this issue. Here's the link: http://chng.it/p5gJY4rp7M
It saddens me that a company that I've been loyal to for over 30 years has let a problem like this continue at the consumers expense. Please pass this on to anyone you know has had the same problems. My truck is in "limp" mode now and I'm on the 3rd repair for the same problem.
