So I’m towing my jet ski to the launch and cruising about 75 on a rural road when CEL illuminates but the engine is running just fine. No throttle jockeying or anything unusual. Truck has almost 250k and been well maintain (minus the clear coat which. Started failing from the Carolina sun years ago). Once I get home, the code reader say P1126 - fuel mgt something or another. Several forum posts mention the throttle position motor. I’ve not done any recent maintenance but have cleaned the MAFS a year ago and I replaced the TPS connect with a new one at same time. Heat had degraded the plastic and connector cracked but I was able to reprin it using Toyota replacemert. I cleared the code and it has not recurred the rest of today. Local station was $3.50/gal so I stopped and filled. I think I’ll wait and see if it come back. Thoughts
