I just took my truck by the autoparts store because I am getting a P0442 code. I just recently replaced the long radiator hose because a pulley rubbed a hole in it for being to close. I know that the gas cap is usually the quick fix, but I was wondering if this maybe had anything to do with coolant getting on any sensors. It seems kind of weird that this just happened a few days after. Which is why I am wondering.

Anything is possible. Best bet is clear your code and put a new cap ($8) on and report back. Maybe check all your other hoses around the work recently performed to see if something hasn’t become unhooked.

Sounds good. I just purchased an OEM one and a code reader (since I should probably have one anyway). We'll see how it works. We did just get a cold front here so it probably just gave out.

EDIT: Replacing the cap appears to have resolved the problem. Code went away after a day of driving.

I have consistently had P0442 and P0456 "Small Evap, Small Vacuum leak". Replaced Gas Cap with OE part, reset, it keeps coming up every 5-700 miles +/-.
Nothing seems out of place under the hood.
    What's my next step(s)?
    Thanks

Smoke test the evap system. I had the same code on my '03 Tahoe and the first time, an evap line popped off at the fuel tank. After that, it would come on about once an oil change but I never did quite figure it out.

Check lines under hood. They crack. Cut cracked end off and slip back on. Zip tie or clamping hoses helps.
