My Carpro IronX, Carpro Eraser, and Bead Maker came yesterday. Of course its going to rain here for the next few days, and not give more than a few day break before it rains again. Still gotta Amzn Prime the Nanoskin mitt.

I dont mind wiping my truck down with Bead Maker after every wash. I do it anyway with a detail spray when i dry. I hope this can take the place of traditional waxing if i stay on it after every wash. (I did read the surf city garage link comparing the differences in waxes, protectants, etc.)

Looking forward to your results! Remember you have to use a shitload of the Beadmaker. Once a month is more than enough though.

I bought the kit they have on Amazon that comes with a gallon, a pint, and 2 towels. Can't wait to try it out!

Ordered the 128oz bottle of bead maker yesterday. Now I just need it to get above freaking freezing around here. Been slowly collecting a bunch of detailing items over the last few months of winter. Watching for a good deal on a pressure washer as mine died in the fall.

Bought the truck in October. Would it be worth claying also when it gets warm enough?

Definitely worth claying, maybe look into IronX or a similar iron removing spray. Works great before you clay to get fine metals and fallout removed so the clay doesnt get gummed up as fast and possibly cause scratches. Instead if clay get yourself a nanoskin mitt, they are amazing. then maybe polish the truck before you seal it.

Just come on down to FL where it's warmer and I'll let you practice on my truck. I can't seem to keep it still long enough when the weather isn't raining to get in a good detail.

Absolutely worth claying...you'll be amazed at what the clay bar gets off the paint. As was suggested earlier, the clay mitts are a lot more convenient, but the regular clay bar will show you better what you've removed. If you're in the market for a decent electric power washer, consider the SunJoe SPX3000 or SPX3001....decent little machines at a reasonable price. If you go with the electric, you'll want to swap out the 1.25mm orifice that's in your foam cannon for the 1.1mm one. If you have the budget for it, however, you can not beat a Kranzle.

Did the wife's car today. Turned out really good! Her car is not neglected, but it was due for sure.

    Wash
    Iron X
    Nanoskin mitt
    Car Pro eraser
    Bead Maker

I was impressed by all products. The Iron X took out so many contaminants it was impressive. I was skeptical of this overpriced stuff. It left very little work for the clay mitt. The Bead Maker was a great finish. Even my old skool "die hard carnauba wax" dad commented on how good it looked and felt. He's a detail enthusiast. I'm gonna have to share my gallon I bought now haha

    Pics tomorrow if I remember.

Just did my wife's Tacoma today, First time using synthetic clay and man is it much faster. I then applied the P&S and man do I like this product, the gloss level and slickness it provides is outstanding.

So true! I rebuilt the motor a few years ago and it hasn't leaked since! 1915cc with a cam and dual Dellorto carbs. Has a few residual seeps but no drips from main seals. Yeah should a kept it, 67s are cool, "one year only" model.

It was my wife's first car, her aunt was the original owner in 69 and gave it to my wife. It then got stolen while parked on her college campus, and found stripped a few days later. Wife's sister had a similar bug, but in worse shape and had just bought a new Golf. Even though my wife had already moved on to a Golf as well, I bought her sisters bug to rip apart and put my wife's back together. Lowered with the 1915cc of course. :bananadance::burnrubber:
Now she has the GTI and her old bug

I’ve had no issues with it getting on anything else. (Iron-X, I assume the product you ordered is fine also.)
I just spray it all over and agitate it a little to get even coverage. You probably want to wear gloves though. Iron-X stinks to high heaven.

If you want to make sure, you can email the owner at jeremy@shinesupply.com . He’s very helpful and responsive.

Curious to see how well it works. That’s a lot cheaper than Iron X.

I did it on everything. I did see a video where it said to try and avoid big plastic pieces but it's not a huge deal.

I'll shoot him an email. Thanks!

The website says to mix it with soap and use a foam cannon so I'm assuming it should be good. I'll let you know how it works.

    This is what Jeremy said.

You can use a foam cannon or the garden hose foam gun, either works fine. Smooth Move will not hurt any surface - just don’t ever let it dry on any surface or it could leave a film behind.

Yes, sections is the best way to do it. I was in the shade doing that small GTI and it still started drying on me.

It can also be used with a spray bottle and do sections at a time.
