I appreciate it. However, I have an 07 non-flex fuel, so I'm wondering how thats possible. Also, I got a few interesting codes on my ECU after scanning with techstream, P2714 and P0894. Be curious to hear your thoughts around it. If my "throttle issue" is actually trans problems.

I'm going to check fluids after I'm done basically rebuilding half of my truck.

    Thanks for the update

I have a ovtune kit from my tacoma that I recently sold. I now have a 2020 tundra. What would a license for the tundra cost.

Just a heads up for the re-geared folks around here, I asked Mat about a 5.29 specific tune and he sent me one today. He said the gear ratio has been corrected in the ECU and it was set up for my gears and tires. He said it should help big time with my shifting. I’ll find out tomorrow when I can flash it. Thought some may want to know it is an option now.

Yep! please let me know how it goes.
Thank the Tacoma guys for doing all the back end testing on that. It helped us find and figure out how to recalibrate tire size and gear size in the ECU

The gear and tire size is changed in the ECU? Not knowing how that works, I assume the speedometer is not effected by the ECU re-calibration. I have a Speedometer Recalibration Module on the truck is why I am inquiring

Does this only apply to 5.29 gears, or are there specific adjustments for 4.88 also?

I would bet there is a 4.88 option also, the Tacoma has a multitude of options for tire and gear size

This is good to know. I have 4.88s, with 35s, and was doing a few WOT pulls yesterday, and on the last pull, the throttle seemed to cut out around the 80mph mark. I sent Mat my logs to Interpret. I could be completely mistaken, could be nothing.

Does anyone know what our speed limiter is pre set to?

The 80 mph was around the speed I was at when the throttle was cut on mine and then it would not shift out of the lower gear it was in for quite a while. I am 5.29 on 35's

Can someone please point me to the information on how to use the new flash program? A dialog comes up with a bunch of choices but nothing for Tundra. I just got my file I have been dying to install and do not want to screw anything up. I never had to select all this information before. I wen to the first page and did not see anything in the first comment then went to the blog using the link on the first page. Thanks in advance

Are you in the flash MANAGER, or the flash TOOL? I was sent flash TOOL 1.3.1 last week. I don't think the manager is used to flash. It was confusing because the flash tool didn't have the logging program with it...I had to locate that with the flash manager 1.3.0 download.

    Hi Mathew,
Still waiting on my base tune for 750 cc injectors and 7000 RPM redline, I have sent you the calibration ID 2 weeks ago but have not heard back.
    Emailed 3 times by now.
Wondering if you can tune for the new USA TRD calibration ID of 3YWF4800 that I am able to load instead of the Canadian ID of 3YWF8900
Also, I noticed that my MAF gets maxed out at 512 g/sec at high RPM.
Are your MAF tables expanded beyond that or do I need to install a bigger intake pipe?
    Thanks

    Viktor

WHAT??? I have the 1.3.0 Flash Manager that Matt sent me and I was told to use that. I did click on Update and it did nothing. I went to the old Flash Manager instruction page and it is for the older one. I dug all over and found instructions for 1.3.0 Flash Manager and used it. It told me it was successful so I assume it is loaded.

Wen you only touch the software once every 2-3 months it is not something I remember easily plus this is the first time I launched the Flash Manager, i only used the logger with the new software. I had to wait for the updated file for 5.29 to continue so the 1.3.1 version you have is new to me

@OVTune wondering if you’re done sending out tunes for the day? As I still haven’t received a base revision tune. Been waiting a while. #5512

Yes stock fuel curve for long tubes are 12.5 with traction control off. Probably higher with traction control on because it pulls fuel when you rip the tires or lose traction. To me i rather have a little rich afr and alot more igntion. And when your normally driving afr stays at 14.7 till 4000rpms and than it goes rich. Bullydog and maybe ov tune only tuners that change afr and igntion timing. When dap says you can either run 87 or 93 thats sucks because its not tune for a specific octane there for no igntion timing. Only throttle response and torque management is gone. When i put on premium or trail tune for bullydog you have to run 93 if not it will ping like crazy because the tune wants to see the 91 plus octane. Toyota really made no room for improvements besides what i just mention. Maybe 15 to 20 max and that leaning out the afr to like 13.5 running 93. Each can tune out their will be identical in terms of power torque might vary but with all the research iv done i say go with ov tune or bullydog. I run bullydog i got it for 340 to my door and i have it set on trail tune running 93 afr is 12 thats with intake, exhaust and headers. If your willing to pay the big bucks than go with ov tune either way both will be great.

Anyone try and flash their truck and get a message saying "there was a problem preparing the selected file. Probably it's corrupted or has unsupported format"

@OVTune any chance you saw the comment i made about the two trans codes im getting, and wondering if its related to the "throttle issue" P0894 and P2714 . did some research and there was a TSB from toyota saying that the p2714 might be caused by a ecu/tcu issue and a reflash was required.

It could be tune related. But wanted to bring it to your attention. I could have a bad shift selenoid and just be low on fluid causing slipping, which i will check and address. But wanted to discuss with you.
