When you say S-mode and referring to GL, is your Tow/Haul button on too? My S-mode when t/h isn't engaged acts like it does from the factory but refined with the OVTune...when t/h is on, it works as intended from OVT...holds thru the entire RPM range...sorry if I misinterpreted your post...just confirming is all

Make sure to send this info to our zendesk. Really really odd that your gearlock is doing this. Just to be absolutely certain, you have tow button ON right?

@OVTune, would you possibly have the time to peek at my zendesk email and let me know what you think? I'm suspecting that I've been sent an incorrect flash file. The ECU IDs don't match. No rush obviously, as I have a coolant leak that'll probably take me forever to sort out, the way progress has been for my project lately. :( If I could just get your feedback. Thanks!

Logs should show what's really going on, we'll just have to wait for the devs to finish up and Mat begins to distribute the logger.

    Does anyone know:

When going from N/A to S/C, do I need to have the ECU dealer-flashed (changing the ECU ID) to the TRD S/C calibration before I can flash the @OVTune S/C .p5f file?

Our software can do it. I'm just waiting to hear back from my dev in this case

A little of this and a little of that. Its pretty run of the mill.
@OVTune I got a link to the logger from a friend and got it working with my laptop. Does that mean, I can start sending logs now? Thanks.

Now that there is a new logger out (Im still using the old one, one of the lucky ones that it worked for). OV, are you only going to be accepting logs from the new logger app version?

2nd Question: should we be data logging only when you (OV) request us to data log? Or do we data log anytime we receive a revised tune file or experience abnormalities when driving?

    Thanks!

I have a question. I am waiting on a base tune, but once I get it, does base tune have Gear Lock, and is it safe to tow a travel trailer with the base tune without revisions? Once I get the base and some logging how long does it typically take to get revisions done? Working on scheduling another camping trip and want to do it sooner than later with the weather getting colder by the day!

Check out the first post in this thread. I'm very happy with the tune. I'm unhappy that I owned my truck 6 years without it.

@mikmikcm15 my average before tuning was 12.5~12.7mpg in S4 mode, all city driving. I now average 13.3 as of today, Oct 9. Hope it keeps climbing as the tune adjust.

I think the exact number isn't as important as the fact that there was an increase. I posted actual calculated numbers a while back of a one way, non stop, tank of gas I used on the highway. 70-75 mph the whole way and was calculated at 16mpg. There's no way that would have happened before at those speeds, especially with 35 inch tires.

That being said, I doubt I'll ever find out what city mpg will be. I have way too much fun driving. The only time I care about my mpg is on trips anyway.
