I'm pretty sure that the program can be used to read codes. I also have a BlueDriver in my truck.

Do you have gearlock on your file? If so it is tied to tow button right now and if you use tow you must use S to control shift, it will not Auto downshift in D or S if you press the tow button.

This will be revised with our update that does it by S mode only not tow button

Yes, I requested gearlock in my file. Its interesting you mention this info as I was driving in tow/haul in D for quite awhile in stop and go traffic and on/off the freeway and didnt have an issue until then.

Will keep in mind to use S when in tow mode.

I’m glad Matt change gear lock to only be in S mode originally I had it with the tow haul as well and when in similar situations as you had if you didn’t us S mod to down shift it didn’t do very well. I have the updated version now and it’s much more user friendly.

This got me last weekend towing one of the boats up the hill from the lake. Lugging the motor and waiting for the truck to downshift in tow mode. Its only the last revision you sent me as the previous ones down shifted without using S(Gearlock). I know I owe you another set of full throttle logs...it has been raining here everyday since I got back from my last trip to CO. Gearlock is a great feature but I dont want to be forced to use it while towing either.

understood and that is why we are changing it to enable just by S mode and not by Tow button. So in the future when you push the shift selector to S it will go into gearlock mode, regardless of Tow on or off

HARROP SC updates and some other SC stuff coming by the end of the month.
I'd like to hear what current mileage is on your SC trucks running our tune.
Our Harrop test truck right now is seeing about 21 mpg combined and we are working on increasing that

(Corrected fuel consumption with CL table and lean burn base)

Currently getting 9-10 MPG on BD tune. Stock TRD tune maybe 11ish if I'm conservative...

If your tune can do anything is this department, you can have my undying affection! Cannot wait :santa:

Eventually, any major fuel efficiency improvements and the tune pays for itself...

Once you send the update for gear lock in S mode, the tow haul button will be free. If we have not requested a different octane map, the tow haul button won't do anything, correct? Unless we have requested a different octane map?

Jesus that's bad. On the TRD tune I was getting at a minimum high 12s, usually mid 13s. Stock truck with the blower and URD pulley and 35s.

I haven't really gotten any numbers for the OVTune yet. I got 11mpg towing a Corolla to Salt Lake City at 86mph, but then I got like 6.7mpg towing an 80s Toyota pickup back down to Southern Utah that same afternoon lol

Our numbers are mostly highway in locked 6th...but how the heck are you getting MPG that bad. Is your truck carrying a bunch of extra weight?

Besides lift, 35" tires and RCI skid plates, it's just the way it is. I know Sequoia is a bit heavier, but yeah... Could have paid off my house by now, but I kept this beast because I like to go fast and with 4 kids going camping, I need the space/size!

    Gas = :spending:

You got me thinking something is wrong now....

@OVTune can you give us a better ETA for the new datalogger? I'm waiting on my initial tune file, and I don't really want to flash it until the datalogger works.

Also, does the software make a copy of the stock "tune" when the OV tune is flashed so it can be set back to stock if needed?

They provide you 2 files on the first go....original and base tune files. I wouldn’t worry about the logger if it were me.

I like the driving coach feature on the BD tuner, but I get bad grades... Have it set with 15mpg as a goal. This was mostly freeway driving with stop and go on the way home today

I like that feature too and was still using the BD to monitor the extra gauges...however after the last OV revision if I plug the BD in to monitor IAT, temps, etc the truck dash lights up like a christmas tree so I relegated it to the junk drawer for now :)

I was getting ~12mpg on BD tune and URD +2 pulley. Very interested to see where I start averaging out with the OV tune. Still impressed with the improved driveability and on demand power. Headed camping this weekend in northern VT, and will be towing the camper up (6K lbs). so that will skew the results of my first full tank of gas as far as MPG goes. Cant wait to see how it tows on the tune though!

I did email you later last week Matt with a few questions. If you have time to get back to me sometime, that would be great.

    Very short teaser video.
Harrops "stage 1" kit, lowest boost setting.
We have the power coming on very very smooth.
Transmission is shifting ridiculously fast now with an update we are working on. S-mode shifting is nearly instantaneous as well.

Truck is just S/C kit and mufflers. Everything else stock.
