That makes sense, i didn’t realize the taco engine had a revision so recently. 2007-present is a long time for revisions in the ID’s

    Ya, went from a 4.0L to a 3.5L.

    @TruckyTruck
I have a current Pixelbook, I haven't read of anyone trying to run the OVT software on anything else besides an Apple machine of some sort. I think that it's pretty unlikely that it's currently feasible, I'll poke about some to see if I can find something though. I understand your situation though, my Windows machine is on it's second battery, has a 17in screen and the hinge is very delicate. I was thinking about just getting some sort of power converter to take care of the short battery life and continue to milk it from there as long as I can until I break down and get to new one and need to bother OV for new registry stuff.

    Cool, I appreciate that.
When I was out of town, I tried to pull my ECU info and couldn't. I bought a converter to power my laptop, but with the battery being no good, it was sucking down my truck battery when the truck engine was off and the key was in the on position. Anyway, I ended up having to run an extension cord out to the driveway to use my laptop.

    LOL, I've done that too!

Oh, and FWIW, I'm finding NOTHING suggesting the OV software having been successfully made to run on ChromeOS.

Yeah, I may be reaching when it comes to doing that. It would be nice to have it on the pxl book, but not a huge deal. My laptop is a 17 inch too. Too big to be taking with me anywhere. It might as well be a desktop!

Pixelbook is gonna be a no go unless there’s some kind of Windows emulation available out there I don’t know about for them. Both the tactrix drivers and tubing software are windows only.

Handheld is the best option when available.

I kinda figured as much but though that I should spend at least a little time poking around just to cover my ass.

Merely a suggestion that you might reference this forum in your OV Tuning instructions. Had I known about the useful information here, I wouldnt have sent so many inquiries. Thanks for pointing me here.

I’m finding plenty of dyno results for magnuson on web, but can’t find any with Harrops. Does anyone know of any where that’s done it?

Aren't they reasonably close? Say within 10% or so of each other? It might be safe to guesstimate that either one would offer approximately 50% more power over stock. I'm just kind of spitballing though...

If they’re that close pricing makes the choice easy

Harrop is fairly close to Magnuson on stock setup, but it is capable of way more power with a pulley and supporting engine mods.

New to boost game...when you say “supporting engine mods” what all do you refer to? Like a built lower block?

Yeah, the stock block has a hard time handling much over 500 hp.
Also, you will run out of fuel pretty quick when upping the boost.
I've blown up a couple Tundra engines in the past, now I have a forged bottom end and just finished upgrading the fuel system to handle the boost.
I am running a TRD (Magnuson) blower at 14 PSI, it is pretty much maxed out now, waiting for the Whipple to come out at the end of this year as per their sales team.

    Hey Wynnded :)
Does this place have a little more traffic than the other forum you and I are on?
That one has been slowly declining over the years...

I’m still following this—any word on dyno results for normally aspirated engines? I have an ‘18, non-FFV, 5.7 and I’m interested in some of the function upgrades from the programming, but am also interested in the dyno results, both on 87 and higher octane...
