Hey Mat, I’m sure I’m at the bottom of the list as I was late to the game. Any idea on when you be getting all of the updates sent out?

 

A bunch have already been released, several people have received files. I actually want to hold off on releasing more just until I hear from a few folks that everything is working fine, no issues etc.

I expect we will have everyone up to speed over the next few days.

 

I bet my ECU isn't as common... Send me the update and I'll test the living daylights out of it!

 

So far its good. No issues flashing.

Normal driving in D, its nice and refined. All there when you mash on the pedal. Mat smoothed out the hesitation into 3rd gear for me.

Drive in S-mode, totally different truck...wow Its awake and basically awaiting your command to shift (or not to).

ok so one thing I wasn't exactly clear on. When you have it moved over in S mode and your torque converter locks up, will it stay locked providing you requested gear lock?

I ask because gearlock before would not keep the tq converter locked

 

I'm at an age where I sometimes forget things, or perhaps even "remember" things that never happened .

So rather than my going through 4090 posts trying to find something that might not exist, please, @OVTune indulge me for a minute..... was there once said that TC lock would be offered in the tunes, in order to help keep the xmsn cooler when towing? If so, is it still in there somewhere?

EDIT .... hahaha Maybe I'm not so senile after all. @TruckyTruck just asked essentially the same thing.

 

Um yes I requested both GL and DS.

Floored it in 3rd and again from 4th and it did not down shift. So far so good.

Overall butt dyno likes this soo far.

@OVTune Okay, Mat. Did the test run. We have a problem. I'm also going to send this to you via zendesk, but thought I'd also point it out here. ID#5388. All these comments pertain to "S" mode. "D" mode is fine.

The transmission will not shift above 3rd gear. The dashboard indications show, 4th, 5th, & 6th, but the tranny remains in 3rd. Doing 3000 RPM at about 47 MPH. Also no engine breaking in that gear. When I let off the throttle, the RPMs drop to around 1200 and the truck coasts.

Driving in "D", then shifting to "S", the transmission goes again to 3rd gear, even though it shows that it's in 4th gear.

The flash went without a hitch, and showed that it was successful.

 

This is happening to one other person as well, what is your ECU ID?

 

0CJ64

 

Ok looks like it's just this ECU ID, as the other person has the same. I'll dig back into the code tomorrow and verify everything.

 

Any idea on when we might see support for 2020's? Just waiting for tuning so I can pull the trigger on a supercharger!

I found that on the previous gl version, when I would tow it would unlock if I held the throttle down long enough and you could feel the TC unlock towing it not towing. Just very hopeful that the new program solves the problem. Also I'm not sure that a majority knows what it feels like when the TC unlocks. Pretty hopeful though!

 

Yeah, my TC would unlock, too, but the gear was locked in. I think the modification will change that.

 

THIS IS WHY I ASK!! And get incorrect info. The custom features ARE NOT here yet for 2019.

1st you said 2019's are supported. And someone else put a link to the tune pack. I then asked about the added Custom features you made. Never got a reply but then seen you saying next week and on FB too. My complaint is not that it's not ready but that it's hard to get a clear answer. I can't wait to get this but I want to make sure the stuff I'm wanting is there 1st. Really looking forward to this. Thank you for your hard work.

 

I was out of town and just returned late last night. Depends on how long I work today but I may get a chance to get it flashed and test it out

I’ve been on the fence! BullyDog or OV? I have no doubt the OV is better! Just gotta be patient for the bugs to get worked out? The guy knows what our trucks need and has the fix!

 

Bullydog does not support 2019s.



Also, once we fix 0CJ64 ECU, we will continue release with more ECUs. Just dont want it to happen on any other
so far it's only 1 ECU ID out of all of them.

What's the verdict on ECU's that have tested the new file so far?

Is 30CK0600 a common ECU?

 

So far all ECUs are fully functional, issue free out of all sent except for 0CJ64.
We are back tracing through the code on 0CJ64, fixing the issue, then moving forward with more.
should be done with it tomorrow.

I just don't want to release further until we are certain it doesn't pop up on any other ECUs.

 

A slower roll out is a safer roll out for this very reason.

 

For those that have VFT installed, do I have to wait for my 2019 tune file before I can unlock my truck with the credits?
