Looking for tips and products on creating the ultimate -- cost-effective -- overland build for my 2006 Toyota Tundra (double cab, 4.7, SR5).
I'm new to the overlanding lifestyle and -- quite bluntly -- need help. Haha!
I've already purchased a used Leer camper shell (with tracks already installed) for additional storage and sleeping accommodations.
All opinions welcome, tell me what you'd do if it were your truck.
Appreciate all the help guys; can't wait to see some opinions and products ya'll have and use!

Necessary purchases and advice I need opinions on:
    - high weight capacity roof racks (for kayaks and additional spare tire)
    - snorkel, sealing electronics, sealing the truck from exterior water
    - upgraded air intake filters and exhausts
    - lift (4" or less)
    - additional leaf springs?
    - tires (35" or less)
    - high clearance front and rear bumper fab
    - gear ratios
    - etc.

Depending on your rim size, I'd go 33 or 34. Either way you may need to do some seriously trimming. I run 295/75r16 and that's about a 33.5x11.5 tire
    Or I'd recommend a 285/75r17 which is about a 34x11

The best bang for you buck on suspension is likely Old Man Emu coil overs and shocks. Or 5160 rear shocks (for the sweet reservoirs at an affordable price).
Unfortunately not many companies make leaf springs for our trucks. So you're stuck with stuck leaf springs and add a leaf (go with progressive and reomove the stock overload leaf for more flex)
    Or
You can buy some expensive leaf springs and try to pair them with some expensive shocks that can handle the extended travel.

Gotcha, I'm currently rolling 32.7" with zero trimming (due to the addition of spacers the previous owner had); however, I worry the spacers are rough on the stock suspension and other fundamental aspects of the truck. I'm all about preventative maintenance and I'm willing to spend the extra dime for quality and customer service. @because_v8
