Sorry for your loss. I love them. Couldn't ask for a better dog. All 3 have different personalities and all three love hunting. My dad has 2 as well. They are fox red color.

The reds are cool! Our Chocolate carries the Silver genetics. Lots of silver in his blood (and ridiculous amounts of random silver hairs) so im pretty sure our next one will be a silver girlfriend for him.

Welcome to our corner of the forum. Nice looking rigs there. Where is Baker County and what’s taking you that direction?

Completely jealous. That’s the day trip I still need to get in. Snow time.

    Happy New Year everyone...

    Thanks for the welcome!

Baker is out on the OR/ID border on the Snake River. Just shy of Boise couple hours if headed out the 84 east.

We ended up in Portland for a job 6 years ago but really dont quite fit in here and hate the city. Boise was the original plan but since we have falled in love with Baker as it offers a very similar landscape and much less populated and less expensive. Also my job will still require me to come into Portland so the 2-3 hours closer than Boise area when i do commute is a nice incentive. With real estate in Portland having gone up insane amounts we are hoping to cash out in a couple years and find a large property out there.

Good luck. Check out La Grande area as well. Little more north. Beautiful areas all around. Enterprise OR is picturesque as well with very little population.

La Grande is definitely cool, have a few properties weve liked there but have primarily been focused in the area between Baker City and Richland/Halfway. Without a doubt we sre open to the right property wherever it is. Ill be headed out there about once a month from march- october to explore. Gotta get my front bumper bent up and timing belt changed in mext 2 months!

Welcome from just over the river. I love those first gen Sequoias, and live Next Adventure. More of a snow sports guy myself (outfitted both my kids at Next Adventure) but I’ve been kicking around the idea of a kayak some day. Got any deals on a Jones splitboard setup?

Lota Yota fans at Next, our Ski buyer has a T100 and the Snowboard buyer has a 2nd gen Runner. Hell even big Bryans rolling a 5th gen Runner now days.

Take a look on the website and lemme know if he's got anything that interests you and if so ill hit him up and see if he can do something for us. And then when its kayak time...thats easy just let me know.

Unbelievable rain effects from the badass storm up in Alaska. Almost 2” yesterday, looking like another inch today and maybe tomorrow too. Saw the first returning salmon in our creek last week, usually see em the first week of January.
Been spending lots of time in the shop. Finished a chefs knife last week E452F415-1A58-46D7-9A0A-FB423BB2D400.jpgFE6504F5-F4F3-4DA7-9FC2-810923BF3D1B.jpg

Yeah, I hear ya. There are a few of us here in the forum that are in the same camp, me included. I'm stuck in the Seattle area for work and to get the kids through school. Then we're G.O.N.E. We just spent a few days with our good friends and started dreaming about retiring to the MT area.

That area is beautiful. I did a road trip down OR's Hwy 3 from the WA corner a few years ago. Breathtaking views...

So true...same for WA/Seattle as well.

Well guys, how was the first full week back at work?

I expected a crazy long week since it was a full 5 days after the holiday, but it went pretty quick for me. So far the year is off to a good start.

Anyone have any big plans this weekend? I'm smoking some pork butts overnight tonight and have a ton of small projects to get done around the house tomorrow...put the last of Christmas away, clean the gutters and the garage, gotta climb into the trailer to check on things and dump the desiccants. Might watch the Hawks game if I have the energy...

Make it a good one guys!

Nothing crazy for me. Dinner at my dad's tomorrow. Sunday I'll have my sister's family over for a nice deer roast dinner. Nice and low key.

Unfortunately, it was a long one for me. Put in 10’s-12’s all five days (I’m salary... hell of a way to kick off the start of a new work year), plus pushing through till 11 last night on some shit. I’m dog tired tonight... hitting the hay shortly.

After going back to the drawing board on the exposed shelves in the kitchen, I’m hoping to get them done or close this weekend.

Kids are heading to the mountain tomorrow and it’s killing my I’m not going. Think I’m gonna start going up every Tuesday after work just for some reconnect time with the snow. Shopped boards and stuff tonight while my daughter was getting some new boots and just can’t justify new gear until I actually get back to being serious in the snow.

Also still need to finish up my tailgate lock, bed lights, USB relocate, anytime camera, and chrome delete.

Get some rest, take a deep breath and dig down for the next shift. You are not the only one working hard to keep things going. Installing Mods are a great way to unwind!

Sounds like you have a great weekend ahead of you!
I'm back on my normal shift tonight after working 36hrs of OT this week, covering for one of our guys out with the Rona. Sounds like it hit him pretty hard.

Heading over to Woodland Park Zoo next week to use up some free passes the kids got, should be fun.

Also, just booked a Hawaii trip. Come on November! :kona:

Man, you and @NWPirate had a jacked up week. Guess that explains my easy week; universe needs balance. I've got evening calls coming Mon-Wed, so it's my turn next week.

Post good pics of the Anytime Camera install. Are you adding the front camera or just doing the rear? I've started a list of mods to do in the spring. Going to stockpile stuff and then take an entire weekend to pull the dash apart. The Anytime Camera is a must (plus the final AJT de-chrome and dash mount).

I’m adding a front as well. My plan is to put it in the middle-top using a YotaLED blank.

Noice. I was thinking of just adding the switch to one of the open slots under the stereo.

I gotta have that Front Anytime camera mod too, I can't pretend it doesn't exist any longer. :D
First though I still need to get a backup camera for my wife's Sequoia.

Before I post in the Audio/ Video thread, is anyone here savvy with adding a backup camera to a aftermarket double din unit? It's got the video output, I'm assuming I need to find power for the camera though..:monocle:

Yeah, back up cameras are the bomb. Especially for hooking up a trailer. I've never had a front camera, but since the Anytime folks make an adaptor I might as well go for it. There have been a few times where I thought I was close to a wall when parking and still found myself 18"+ away. With the Compact or Phuk-off parking spots around here, I need all the help to get my tail out of the thoroughfare.

    Can't help with your question unfortunately...if it's not plug-n-play I don't like it.
