Well today is the day. Going to start the Ironman lift install on the wife’s 4Runner in about an hour or two. Pretty excited to see how it rides. I’ll take a bunch of pics I’m sure. If it goes as good as I think hopefully the Tundra will get some love next.

Well it’s “done” for now. Need to measure the fenders, tighten the set screws on the coilovers, then tomorrow morning it gets an alignment.

thank you! I was at discount Tire yesterday and ran into a 4runner with Ray 10’s and an Icon stage 2 lift. Anyway we were talking and wouldn’t you know it he had the morimoto headlights with sequential turn signals!! Damn it another mod that has to happen.

I’m going to tell the wife I don’t want hear a freaking word when UPS drops off that Magnusson box lol. Or we take a road trip to SD and visit Keith for headers and mid pipes for the Tundra.

In other news I am done for the night. Had only two pieces of toast for breakfast. Then after the lift was done some Papa Murphy’s on the Traeger. If nothing makes sense.

See below. This was full two hours ago. Good night everyone.

5 days away from hunting season starting. Archery deer and some upland game. Any one else chomping at the bit to get out there?

I’m overly ready! I am focusing solely on the mule deer since I drew such a rare tag for the late rifle season down in unit 40. Elk will have to wait unless I decide on late season but we have a baby boy due in late December so I will be at home!

Awesome! Good luck! I'd love to get an Idaho tag for a big mulie in the sage brush areas in central Idaho. Washington you have to choose your method of hunting and that's it. Unless you get a multiseason tag, which I have this year. More hunting opportunity that way. I drew a secondary deer tag as well. If all goes to plan, I can get 2 this year to fill the freezer.

Happy Friday everyone...what you all got planned for the weekend?

Passed 10k miles last weekend, so the truck is getting an oil change. Think I'm going to align my annual air filters (engine and cabin) changes to the fall, so those will happen tomorrow as well. My son has been taking Drivers Ed and they talked about car maintenance this week (even watched a Chris Fix vid). He's helped me with maintenance in the past, but he'll be doing most of the work tomorrow. It's time for some hands-on training.

Hopefully will have some time for a wax/sealant application and a few minor mods...but we're still not cleaned up from our camping trip last weekend (oh, the dust...) so the wife might have me doing lots of other things.

I was supposed to have a 3 day weekend, but coworker called in so they called me in. I would have said no, but they threw out a 1.5 times pay incentive even though I wouldn't normally be on OT today. Money talks:rofl:

I do the washing and waxing...that's my zen kitchen.

Got 2/3's of the truck waxed (technically "sealed") today. I might have snuck out in between meetings and put a layer on a few panels, then returned after the next meeting to wipe it off. Not my best work, but I don't go overboard in the winter since the rains are coming. Next spring I'm going to have to really clean the paint, clay bar it and everything. My water leaves some mineral deposits that I'm too lazy to remove right now. Plus I have some nice orange peal from the factory to deal with.

Hoping tomorrow I can finish the wax, change the oil (and filter), cabin filter, engine air filter, get the two rear ABS guards on, some foam "shadow box" cut for my rear seat lock box and possibly even figure out why my center console has started squeaking...Gonna be busy

Looking forward to October, 2 weeks off work!
The plan is for my wife to kill her first deer this year. If we can get that done, I'll hit it hard for the rest of the season.

That's a good plan. Hope she is successful.

My plan is meat this year. Not going to be picky like the last few years, I ended up with tag soup. My unit allows me to shoot does for archery. Hoping to get a nice fat muley doe. I have the multiseason tag for deer, a second deer tag white tail doe only in November. If all goes well I will have good amount of deer meat. Muzzleloading for elk this year. Hoping to fill that as well.

Right on, sounds like you have some good opportunities.
My work schedule aligned better with modern season this year so the muzzleloader will have to sit in the safe.
I shot my biggest buck last year (muzzy kill :D) so I'm really content with putting all efforts towards her success.

Awesome! I am taking the muzzleloader out for the first time for elk this year. Used a muzzleloader last year but borrowed my uncle's. Kicks like a mule but has good grouping so far.

Very cool! I love them, my dad and gramps got me muzzleloading young. Something about open sights, smoke clouds and a 50cal thump to the shoulder

I took my hunter safety class years ago, but have never gone out... someday. All I need is time, gear and some peeps to show me the ropes.

Got most of my tasks done. All of the important stuff. Will finish up tomorrow.

Hope you all had a great Saturday.

It is awesome, but my main reason is less hunters during muzzleloader. Rifle looks like a pumpkin patch out there anymore.

Anyone doing anything fun this weekend? Or do you do like me and stay away from the crowds during the long holiday weekends?

I have scheduled a short day trip with the fam this weekend. Time to get some of the best fish and chips in the state. Other than that, I think it is going to be low key.

4 day weekend for me. Going to be archery hunting deer. Too hot though, so will hunt morning and evening and get my dad's house prepped for painting.
