Then its clean up time
Went and checked out some pups, maybe getting another lab. It would be my labs niece or nephew. Only 2 females, red/yellow, in the litter, and stud fee is one of the females so only one left. 4 males. 2 black and 2 red/yellows. I'd like the big red male, but one of the black ones was following me around real good today. Gonna go hang out and check temperment again next weekend and pick mine. Then the rest get put in an add for sale after that. Cute pups20200105_164604.jpg

Hwy 395 just north of Tri Cities, WA. My cousin rang in the new year stuck in this tumbleweed mess. It took hours to clear with snowplows.

Nice! I have a Red male and he is awesome. He’s a killer hunting dog and lives to retrieve on land or water. I like red dogs. My Lab and my Vizsla are the same color. I get asked all the time what kind of dog he is not a very common color. But you’ve got to go with the one that bonds with you. When I picked mine out we knew he was the one. Bonded with my wife and I right away.

    He's a handsome boy!
There's a big red male in this liter. Definitely tempting to get him. But yeah i want one that will bond with me. They werent very active yesterday as it was evening and getting ready to put them to bed for the night. The dad is a fox red. He hunts sheds on the west side of the state.

Are these American Lab, or English? Can't tell from the picture.
Love the Red Labs, got my first one last December after interacting with a friend's rescue. Fantastic dogs.20190615_131013.jpg20190615_131029.jpg

Based off of the size of their heads I'd say english. American tend to be more slender and athletic. English tend to be bigger and more for show.

Nice. Congrats on the possible new puppy.

I really want to get another lab. We almost got a Red Fox lab before we got Charlie. He is a Goldador.

Last weekend we dog sat his GF/BFF who is a Red Fox. They had fun together but you could tell Charlie wasn’t to excited about sharing his hoomans with her. Maybe another male dog would be different:notsure:. The wife wants to wait another couple years. So I guess we wait.

The other option is a Husky from a breeder out somewhere by you I think. I’m pretty sure I could get away with that. We both love her dogs.

I dont think it matters if male or female. But not sure. My female hates it when i give my husky attention. I just think certain dogs get jealous or protective kinda thing. My lab always tries to manipulate my hand so it goes from petting him(husky) to her. Its kinda funny.

Huskies are awesome dogs. Lots of work at times, but worth it. Ever make it over in this area let me know, ill buy ya a beer .

Funny you say that. I came in the house from the gym Saturday and laid on the floor. I was trying to enter my food in for the day and she did this.DCE4D8C4-B025-4F2D-ACCC-238DC2942288.jpg
Laid down on her back and wiggled right under my face. Even knocked my phone out of my hand. Silly girl.

I had a husky when I was a kid. Great dog. He shed all the time! I looked up the breeder and I guess she is in Olympia(Skylers Siberian’s). I thought for some reason she was over Tri-cities area.

Anyway waiting for a bit more light. Putting my dirty deeds 6” in this morning. Did the wife’s 4Runner last Thursday. Hope this one goes like my last Tundra did. I sure do miss that lift and 35’s. So much easier to do maintenance under it haha.

They are so funny when the do that! Both of mine do or used to do that. Husky not so much any more. Bad hip and being 13 makes him less mobile than usual.

    Cute pup for sure!

Oh geez, I'm dumb. The "These labs" I was referring to were the one's from the Post with the Black dog and the puppies.

I was writing the post and then thought, "oh hey, I'll throw my dog and my buddy's on too."

    Sorry 'bout that.

    Hahaha no worries.

The dad is definitely an english lab. The mother is most likely english as she is related to my dog, sisters, but not 100% on that. Mine looks more english with the block head look. But mine was the biggest of the litter. Her sister, pups mom, was a different litter but same parents. She is definitely smaller, about 4 inches at the shoulder. So size may be giving me second guesses.

    Good evening PNW!
    Picked out some puppies today!
Wanted this sweet girl, but the two females are spoken for.
    20200111_140446.jpg
I picked out this guy. He was way more chill than the others, and didnt try to scworm away from me. He was perfectly content with me the whole afternoon.
    20200111_140830.jpg
Dad picked out this guy. Biggest of the litter, and more red in color than the others as well.
    20200111_140608.jpg
Tried to get a pic of them all, one was quick to get away lol

Get them on live birds as soon as you can. That’s what really builds the prey drive pigeons work well for training. Any contenders for the name??

I am BLS certified as well. Let my emt-b lapse though. I would need more gear as well, but i am working on it. I am part of winter weather drive crew for my hospital, help pick up those that cant make it in due to weather. So far i havent been needed this winter. Used a couple times last year when we had a foot of snow.

I will do that. Lots of pidgeon and dove around my dads place. Lots of squirrels around mine. Squirrels is where my current lab got her prey drive.

I am thinking Thor, Odin, or possibly Zeus. But not opposed to other opinions to find a good name. I do like Odin though.
