It's funny how it worked out. My best friend's family growing up had a cabin on diamond lake so I basically grew up out there. When I met my wife, I found out her Aunt has a cabin just a few houses down so I get to relive a lot of memories out there.

Sunday will be my first Father's Day so I am not sure what my wife has planned. Hopefully it involves food and beer.

I can come up with lots of good answers for that question, and I like to think I’m not too crazy. Then again, I don’t know if that scale posted earlier counts for guys :bananadance:

I used to date this girl about 15 years ago. We are still friends but don't see each other often. Maybe a couple times a year. Anyway she used to be on Search and Rescue...that girl knows how to make stuff disappear lol.

PS - I didn’t grow up on Diamond Lake, but I was there every summer from 1987-1995. We had quads chasing after us one year because we snuck out with some girls from the motel rooms Lol.
We hid in the fish cleaning station in between the camp ground and the motels - never got caught. Scared the shit out of us.
I proposed to my wife on the edge of Crater Lake 13 years back - and took her to diamond lake while passing through lol.
We just stopped back by again 2 years back for our 10yr anniversary - and went to diamond lake again.
Went up to the bar above the hall area - for the first time in my life.
    It was......not exactly what I expected :)
Back in the 80’s-90’s it was off the hook it seemed like.
    So many great memories there.

Ps - if anyone down there knows a Blonde named Brooke and a brunette named Kendra, from Ferndale WA - let me know!

I don't know a lot about smoking(anything really except a couple youtube videos I have watched)...but that looks like something tasty is about to come out of there! I was just told about Green Mountain Grills at work this week. I have a local retailer here in town and am obsessed with these things. May try to sell my Weber to make room for the new grill...Plus ties to Oregon so supporting a local company.

My Webber Charcoal Gas Assist went up for sale 2 days after the new Pit Boss delivered LOL.
My very much loved Webber Genesis gas grill, hasn’t been used since the Pit Boss.
For $650, it’s seriously a complete no brainer. Grills as fast and hot as gas, smokes as slow and steady as any smoker out there.
Lowes delivered Sun June 2nd....every night besides my wife’s spaghetti on Wednesday - has been a dinner cooked on the smoker. That’s like - 13 out of 14 dinners I think :)
    It’s not just a smoker :)
Tonight, after 5 minutes it was 200 degrees and cooking some great brats - took 10 minutes.

Well that’s a good streak you have going! I also have a Weber 3 burner Genesis gas grill that I love too. A friend of mine wants that one so maybe I can sell it for like 400 or about half of what a new one is. Then get the new GMG. They don’t even carry the model I want yet because it was just released so I have some time which should help as I can’t do that purchase for at least another month or two.

Yep, I have the 4 burner Genesis. I swore by it for the past 3 years! It’s the best propane BBQ I’ve ever used.
The $650 Pit Boss Pro 1100 is just hard to beat. The best part is the 35 lbs of pellets it holds. It has the option to prime feed pellets, dual meat temp probes, external temp gauge, internal temp gauge, the easy slide-grate to open flame cook foods (way beyond 500 degrees and I don’t think any other smoker has this BBQ type option)....I didn’t even know something like this existed.
All of my smoker friends were beyond impressed.
The GMG with WiFi is tits, but I’d weigh the Pro’s and Con’s carefully.

And the damn thing is built like a tank. :)
The Treager I borrowed recently isn’t even from the same planet. :)

Well almost done with the bark. Found a video yesterday that gave me an idea for my rock problem. Basically going to set up a screen and shovel the rock on it and shake out the bark and pine needles. Hope everyone is having a great day. @Boosted4runner when we’re you dropping off that brisket??
