Anyone know if you live in Idaho but work in Washington if they'll still take out that tax?

Not sure. Ideally not but who knows how the tax will be implemented. Could be based on where the employer is located

Welp...I still think I'll look at Idaho for a residence. Take a job in Washington as it's the only place that's offered an interview so far. And continue to look for work in Idaho. Tired of Washington... we'll just leave it at that.

Actively looking. Last straw was shit with work. Figured if I had to look, might as well relocate now instead of later.

Yeah they do, @Green Thunder is correcto. The employer is forced to deduct it unless you have the proof of exemption to show them.

One thing about the medical field, I can eventually go just about anywhere I want to go. Just got to wait for right job openings.

    This:
Who is subject to the tax?
All employees in Washington are subject to the tax.

Workers are considered “employed in Washington” if their services are performed in the state. That includes workers who also perform services outside the state while basing their operations or directing services from a location in Washington. If a worker doesn’t base their operations or direct services from any specific location, but resides in Washington, they’re also subject to the tax.

Thanks. Sounds like I need to get a job in Lewiston eventually.

Does that also mean no tax if living in Washington but working in Idaho?

Nope - reread that last sentence.

It's like those of us that live in SW WA and work in OR...we get to pay OR income tax for the "privilege" of sitting in I5 traffic every day.

Thankfully, me personally haven't had to cross the bridge except for meetings for about 7 years.
But plenty of people that work for me are paying into the fund.

Gotta consider ID income tax and decide which is the best way for you to go when living that close to the border. But there are other things as well - property taxes, all manner of other rules/laws/stipulations that we'll leave for another place.

Yup. Just getting out of Walla Walla will lower my cost of living though. Good property options in Clarkston, but good housing options in Lewiston. I am researching it all. Got to get the job first though.

Funny. A coworker got zero info on this account and no email. But his approval letter arrived today in the mail.

Good morning guys. Happy Sunday. Today is the 2nd anniversary of GT's arrival in my driveway.
Our monthly shipment just arrived. My wife drinks most of it, so she chooses. Blackbeard's Delight is her favorite. I got a box of SS in the k-cups once for work and it sucked. Horribly weak. Very different than when we tried the ground. It is a good roast when you get the beans. This month's sticker is awesome too...

We're a quiet bunch this weekend. Anyone ready for snow? I love the seasons around here and was ready for fall after that epic heat wave. But now that the truck is ready for winter (change the load in my truck box) I've got the itch for some snow.

That and I'm ready for Thanksgiving. We decided to host again this year (phuk Delta) and I'm stoked now to get a couple of birds on the smoker.

Spent yesterday burning. Farting around the house today doing random chit. Pulled a 6-bone prime rib out to thaw for next Saturday (having some extended family over).

I’m not sure I’m quite ready for snow…but I do have my season pass for Timberline and hoping for a good year.

Raked some leaves already. Now trying to drill out a lock box on the side of the house. Installed it like 5 years ago but can’t remember the code.

Ruined a drill bit and broke the end off my favorite needle nose pliers but the damn thing is open. Victory is mine!

True. Locks only keep honest people honest. It did put up a good fight and it was not a quiet operation for sure.
