This would replace a cheap Igloo that is marked as a 50 quart capacity. Could go a bit smaller for capacity since we switched to RV camping and have a fridge.

I knew a guy who was cruising the logging roads with his family years ago when I lived up in the PACNW. They came across a big pile of trash close to the road. He got out, went over to the trash pile and started sorting through it until he found something that had a name and address on it. Then he found another. Letters/bills etc.

He took it the first WDFW Officer he came across and told him right where the pile of trash was. Lo’ and behold, the officer went after the person and fined him and made him clean it up. That was back in the olden days ofcourse.

I was part of a scout troop when I was very young and we all learned especially in the woods littering was absolutely unacceptable. You drop a piece of gum wrapper 1/4” square you were on automatic KP duty for the other 25 kids. For a 12 year-old that was akin to prison. Those lessons are still with me today. People have no moral conduct because it is no longer being taught at home, schools, neighborhoods, etc.

Here in NM we are in a decades long drought. Fires never seem to stop. A few weekends ago I don’t remember which, some celebration, the forest service came across 18 abandoned campfires that were left burning in one forestry area. It was all over the news. People can be such idiots.

    I feel your frustration, bro.

45 is by far the most common size people buy. I got my house brand ones at 174.95 every day. Can throw you one for 125.00 and a gear review (good or bad) if you wanted to give it a go.

Edit- not making a sales pitch, just tryin to save a fellow member some money for truck parts haha

Well fuel pump recall and oil change are getting done. Got a loaner. For the first time it’s not a Yaris!

It’s a brand new 2021 Limited Venza. This thing is sweet!! First hybrid I have ever drove. Kinda weird going from that 6” DD on my Tundra to barely being able to hear anything from it.

Then most impressively....a 9 speaker JBL stereo that sounds amazing. Thanks again Toyota for just straight dropping the ball with the Tundra JBL.

Now I’m stuck. I actually like this thing. My commute of between 60-100 miles a day(depending on if a soccer day) would be super nice at 40mpg vs my current 16-18.

I just don’t know if I could get rid of my truck for one.

Guess we will see what happens next summer.

Mine goes in on Monday. Wonder if I will get a loaner for the morning or not.

That gas savings sounds nice, but no way I could give my truck up just based off of needs. If I could afford a second car right now something like the Venza would be cool. A Rav 4 hybrid would be cool too.

I asked to get a loaner when I made my appointment. The service advisor told me today it probably won’t take anywhere near as long as they said when I booked it since they have done so many. Hopefully you will get a loaner too.

I don’t think I could get rid of my truck just for the mileage. But it would be nice to have 40mpg.
I can’t get rid of the 4R either. So if I don’t change garages by next summer maybe I’ll get a cheaper commuter. But with my luck two weeks later I would change garages lol. There’s a rumor we may be going to 4 10’s. So that’s a 20% savings right there.

4 10's would be nice. Hopefully that's the direction your job goes. Then 3 days off would be awesome.

I love the new Venza. Sat in one while I was waiting for the paperwork when I bought my Corolla. That very well could be my next car in 4-5 years if we get out of the travel trailer hobby

The Venza and Rav4 hybrid are at the top of our list, when the new car account has enough cash for one. Higher gas prices and a low interest rate might speed that decision up.
Keeping the Tundra and Sequoia though.

I think the Venza replacement is going to be the new bz4x. I don't know anything about it yet. Just saw the pictures on the gram today and linking this page https://www.toyota.com/concept-vehicles/bz4x-concept/

Now I am about to go read about it.

I will take some more pics when the kids get home. But its based on the Rav4 platform if I am not mistaken.

I think the only option this one doesn't have is the huge ass sunroof.

Just started watching the video..ignore the update about trucks blah blah blah.

The second speaker's name is Chris and he says Good morning....no response. Then he schools them on responding when spoken too......I don't care what he is selling.... I am buying it now!!!!

My wife and I test drove one right after I purchased my truck. You have to choose between sunroof or roof rack as an option, can’t have both. The cargo space lost from the batteries in the back was a bummer. It drove awesome, great tech, pretty sporty and fun to drive.

I think a plug in hybrid would be the perfect combo for us.
The prepper in me wants to be able to get to work and the grocery store on battery, if the shit hits the fan.
Worse case scenario, if I lose power and gas is in limited supply I can still charge at work to get home and back.
I think the Rav4 Prime range is 42 miles right now.

Yes, it is based on the Rav4, which I thought was strange since it seems bigger. I only sat in the passenger seat, so cannot comment on leg room.

So I had the seat pretty far back and my 11 year old had plenty of room. As for head room I had the seat all the way down(I think) and had about 3” to the roof. The kids loved it. If I didn’t spend 3 years trying to get on Team Tundra/4Runner I would seriously consider this thing. I can’t believe I’m even saying that.

Anyway got the Tundra back. Ran it through a quick car wash. Then wouldn’t you know it they were testing fire hydrants or whatever on the way home .

So now I decided to spot wash, clean the wheels better, and do the windows again.
