Okay, so im getting true duals installed maybe this week or next week, and i want my truck louder already so i cut the whole exhaust off after the two cats, which also makes it less $$$ for the shop since they dont have to cut and remove anything, just install the exhaust. My question is, how bad is it to drive with it like this? It is extremely loud and i know i cant sit at idle with the windows up for long due to the fumes entering the cab, but can someone give me some pros cons? Its only temporary and i wouldnt actually run it like this for a long time lol

Depends on if the cops in your area give tickets for being loud.

I was in a similar situation after my resonator and muffler rusted off while I was waiting for new parts to arrive. Of course...my ideal vehicle is silent so the noise really bugged me. I got away with it for about a week until I could silence the truck back up.

But no....it won't hurt your truck not having an exhaust from the cat back...just your reputation.

Im in Texas, and honestly cops dont give a heck for exhausts so i should be good there. What about having them remove the cats when i have them make it true duals? Any pros and cons there? Besides of course for you- the noise lol, wnd thanks for the response !
