Do you turn the nannies off or do you let the truck search for the best traction? Just curious...

If it’s with a Ram, you’re gonna lose because their walrus sized sister/girlfriend will provide the weight necessary to give the truck more traction.

My guess is: turn off nannies so that you're not fighting your own brakes. Speaking of brakes, pull long enough and the Ram will break.

I'd go 4 wheel drive and watch the other truck bust a drive shaft. I pulled a 15k rv with 3 blown tires through a muddy field with no problem. Only issue I had was I kept breaking those 30 buck 10k tow straps. I wouldn't do it mostly due to the strain on the truck. Anything to get the job done but I could careless what any dodge or ford owner thinks. Most of the guys that want to have a pissing match with me dont use their trucks for anything but one item from home depot. I beat the shit out of my truck I don't need a dodge or ford to help me do that.

Hold brakes until they start slipping then go. 4low is geared nicely for it I would think :)

I'm getting old. The first thought I had when I saw this was "this looks like a terrible idea and someone's gonna get hurt".

After that thought tho, I felt bad for the poor ram. The 4L video made me laugh the most; seeing all 4 wheels on the RAM not even moving. Looks like my dog when I pull him toward his kennel.

So, about that...it turns out, even with trac control OFF, the 'puter won't let you power brake....at all. Can't even ride the brake too hard and use the go pedal....it cuts the power.

    Had a friend try this....just sayin' ;-)

As off as it could go? Just short of pulling the plug at the master brake cylinder anyway...

EDIT: That being said, I did not try this in 4wd
