Im a big guy...6'2 , 250 ish... My office just relocated to a very expensive part of Dallas. No food nearby, no fast food at all... every meal is freaking 12$ plus at the cafeteria and thats sticking to the daily special.

What frozen meals, etc do you guys take to lunch...Yeah I can take a sandwich but damn that gets old

Id have a ton more mods if I could spend less.

if we're in savey mode or super healthy eating mode where it's hard to follow meal plans with lunchtime work food, we tend to cook extra in the evenings and then box up leftovers for lunches through the week.

Cook at home and take leftovers or grill meats and add to salads during the week. $12 per day for lunch is a ton; so almost everyday I bring food from home.

Make a monster dinner on sunday so there's plenty of leftovers. Make a sammich one day, throw a costco chicken bake for another, and a buy-day one day and leftovers the rest.

NYC lunch prices drain your wallet quick $12-$15 depending on where you go...

    :spending:

I mix between leftovers beginning of the week and empty wallet towards the end.

I take a combination of frozen meals. I can't have many preservatives, so I stick to EVOL and Marie Calendar's. I toss in the occasional sandwich and leftovers.

You should look into investing in a slow or pressure cooker. You can easily do lunches overnight like chicken, pot roast, etc.

I don't like fast-food and microwave dinners are loaded with preservatives and sodium, so I try to avoid those. I do a combination of left overs or meal prep over weekends. I always grill over weekends, so while the grill is going for dinner I add additional chicken, brats etc. to be used during the week for lunches. During the week we cook dinners every night, so we just make extra to have for lunch the following day, or make salads with the grilled meat from the week-end. Co-workers are always envious...., and it really does not take any extra effort since we are cooking dinner anyway.

I generally stick with sandwiches for lunch during the summer, since I’m out in the middle of nowhere. I’ll switch it up sometimes and eat one of those premade salads from Safeway, or eat one in addition to the sandwich if I’m really hungry. Then usually a cheese stick and a cosmic brownie or something sweet as well. And I’ll snack on Nutrigrain bars or something like it throughout the day.

During the winter I’m in the office most of the time, so I may have a sandwich and a bowl of soup for lunch. Usually I’ll have a cosmic brownie, or a cookie or two as well.

    Leftovers, buck.

Smoker in the summer. Propane in the snow. I tend to favor rare- med rare so I plan for that when I have to reheat in the microwave at work. Once a week treat to sushi or a “taco truck” style Mexican joint for lunch.

Eggs or egg cheese meat sandwich in the am that I’m not working out before work. Cliff bar on those mornings. Nice cup of coffee and Greek yogurt after the workout. Titanic dump. Good to go brutha.

I usually make a large enough dinner to where I have lunch and sometimes breakfast the next day. Sandwiches and lean pockets with snacks out of the pantry in between meals. G/F has a simple breakfast in the mornings and meal preps her lunches and dinners for the week.

I'm on a ketogenic diet and quite honestly can't eat out. I also cook extra for dinner and take leftovers to work. It's cheap and the food is better anyway. :D

Go with the frozen steamers or something like that. Some taste pretty decent and some a starving dog dog wouldn't eat. Roughly $3ea isn't bad.

Meal prep Sunday here for us to get the bulk of work day lunches made: 1 container of fruits, 1 container of veggies, portion out some snacks into baggies/containers.

Dinners during the week are always planned and made so there's leftovers the next day. Leftovers are put in containers after dinner.

When I get ready for work, I throw the containers with fruits, veggies, snacks and leftovers in my lunch cooler, make my mug of tea or coffee and head out the door. Fast, easy, efficient and healthy. I haven't bought food at work in about 4 years now.

Get a bag of frozen chicken, 1 regular jar of salsa, 1 packet of Taco seasoning. Throw it in the fridge in a freezer ziplock overnight to slightly thaw, then slow cooker (low) for 6 hrs. After 6 hrs. shred the chicken, put it back in for 30 mins. I use meal prep containers to split it out, add some rice and veggies, makes for a pretty good meal. $12 for a week of lunches, plus the cost of veggies/rice.
