alright, my first 600 mile trip from Columbus Ohio to Greenville SC, I noticed a lot of what I call body roll on the switch back roads and freeways. Now I was traveling 75 to 80 the whole way. Do you think a TRD rear Sway bar would improve this? What about the front?
Also mileage was not bad at all... thanks guys. In advance for your input.

The sway bar may help. I don't notice very much body roll on sharp curves. BTW I lived in Cbus for about a year when I was 19. 1st time living on my own. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. Hahahaha

Putting a sway bar on the rear will make the most difference. Putting a Sequoia sway bar on the front will improve the handling as well, you won't notice as radical a change though.

What tire pressure are you running? Bump those P Metric Craptastic tires up a little. It makes a difference.

Next go around, check into some LT tires, not necessarily saying LR E, but there are a couple companies that make a load range C that would be perfect. I was going to put a rear sway bar on mine, but after going to a LT tire, the presumed body roll was gone. I have heard great reviews on the TRD rear sway bar though. For the cost, it really isn't a big deal and will improve overall handling.

I have both the Sequoia front, and TRD rear bars with stock tires, and i love the way my truck handles now. Very little roll.

I have LT tires and a rear sway bar.....truck handles like a dream especially on corners!

There is still SOME body roll (its a 3' lifted truck for God's sake!) But made a huge difference. You wouldn't regret it if you went that route.

I noticed a big difference after the rear TRD sway bar was installed. Pretty dramatic improvement - if you aren't doing aggressive off-roading,it's a no-brainer in my view. I didn't do the front Sequoia yet.

I added air bags to the rear (I tow heavy), and keep aroung 20 psi in them, seems to limit the body roll I had before the add. And it really makes towing smoother, less bobbing from the heavy tongue weight.

I now wonder what the sway bar adds! mine does real well on relatively tight highway curves without the sway bar. I am impressed how the car sticks to the road without the sway bar. it handles MUCH better than my Tacoma and much better than my older SUV ... hard to see more improvements but maybe I need to go faster ... lol

does it help more when towing? I may have to get them for towing!

what is air bag? I need to do more research now :D

I am a little unsure the question- do you have a sway bar and don't think it adds much, or you don't have one and are wondering what it will do? I will only say I think it made a dramatic difference in handling, especially on on and off ramps. The body roll is minimized dramatically- the wife and kids' heads are no longer banging off the windows when I hit the curves...

You seem like you are a details guy and pay attention to the handling of the machine. You won't be disappointed. And it's a cheap DIY mod. Nothing to lose!

yes it is on my list, thinking that it would help even more when towing ... at least based on what I've read!
normal driving I haven't felt the need for it maybe cuz I am used to my Tacoma - narrow with high center of gravity - and compare to that Tundra feels like a sports car :D

Before wife and kids I had a Tacoma and 4Runner. Then life took over and I primarily drove a Highlander and Subaru. So the Tundra was a huge change in terms of handling. The sway bar tightened things up. Dramatically. I don't tow a lot of weight when I do.
