What is the correct amount of oil for the 5.7? My truck did not come with a manual. Thanks

    This.

Your best bet is to check your manual and note with or without filter. I would put in eight, start the engine and let it run for a couple minutes then shut it off. Wait about 3 to 5 minutes and check. Top it off if necessary.
Mine is perfect at 8 quarts even though my manual says 7.9 LOL.

    To much to list:)
Mine holds 8.4 quarts and for the life of me don’t know why they just didn’t say 8 1/2?? But the dip stick is the best thing to go by on level ground.

Just changed my oil today. Required 8.5 quarts with the oil filter change. Dipstick was right on at the full mark.
