    LOL. so after making this big ass intro about me and my truck, and everything i plan on doing to it, i go to add pictures and the text disappears. SWEET. Here we go again.



    I’m Christopher.


    I bought a 2008 Tundra Limited Crew Max that’s been thru some stuff in it’s life.


    It has backed into things. It has rubbed against some things. it’s jumped some center islands. And none of it got fixed.


    Enter Me. The jackass who bought it.


    It’s blue. It has lots of chrome.



    Here's Rough Plans:


    Exterior:

    First thing tomorrow it’s going into a body shop for about 7k worth of fixing. I'll attach pictures so you guys can see what i'm working with.


    I bought two grilles. I ordered the rock warrior in black that i'm gonna color match. While at Toyota a sequoia with TRD grill caught my eye and i thought hmm.. that could work. So i ordered it. Then i googled, found this place and saw some of you have done it. score. So now i will have two color matched grilles. I like to party.


    I ordered painted black door handles and mirror caps. To be color matched blue. To get rid of chrome.


    Also ordered a back bumper to be color matched too.


    I ordered the morimoto headlights and fog lights. These stock headlights are trash. I'll probably have them Clear Bra'd to keep them looking new.


    I ordered a small antenna to replace the bent one thats currently on my truck.


    Got me some TRD bilsteins to ride on.


    Going paint correct and ceramic coat it.


    I also plan on getting some kinda wheels. Maybe OEM, maybe not. im not sure.


    Also, remove my busted ass side steps that are hammered and put some amp research powered steps on it.


    A new windshield since mines cracked.


    Interior:


    im going to yard the whole stereo system and do a flagship JL Audio based system.

    Im going to use the POS Phoenix Tesla Style Radio with some custom firmware on it for head unit.

    Deep Clean the interior

    maybe get some katskin for the seats

    remove and re tint the windows with some 3M Crystalline.



    I think thats about it.



    I’ll probably make a thread of all the stuff im doing if any of you care to see it. i like doing build threads of all my cars. I have this and two other projects we’re doing at the moment. ill keep ya updated.

    Today i dropped my headlights and fog lights for the tundra off for some paint protectant. trying to keep this truck looking great for years to come. body shop called me and told me it would be more money for stuff they didn't see on the first estimate. only a couple hundred though, not the end of the world.

    well, not much of an update. but myself and my family have all came down with covid, so i haven't done anything for the last 10 days. been hanging out at home. truck is still in the body shop, i had them paint the front end too to get it all dialed. probably another week or so till im better and the trucks in my possession and ill update ya with pictures!
