Sorry. I might have spoke too soon. I'm having issues with the key fob but I was able to get the remote start to work (I use it all the time so I'm familiar with the button press timing). Maybe its a low battery? I'm not sure but I don't think it is related to the software update.

Did a full system reboot and i still dont have cloud signal. Sat connected to wifi for 10-15 minutes and no update appeared. :notsure:

looks like at my next service i may be asking about the whole cloud/satellite connection to my HU. Add it to my list lol
At this point, could careless about the update. More confused why i dont have that signal.

    Edit:
I disconnected it from wifi and all of a sudden got the error code that the update wasnt completed:monocle:

This is why Toyota should just post the files needed for download on their site so we can manually do it. The way the website works now is the same as the truck, its tries to fetch the needed information.

Not defending Toyota and I'm not a fan of OTA junk but if they just gave links to the different updates there would be people who download the wrong ones and create more problems when they try to apply them and then blame Toyota.

Your 22MY+ Toyota Tundra is now just a big computer on 4 wheels. Saves them time and money and puts the responsibility on you.

Today's saga. Renewed my subscription this morning. All went well. Still no joy on unit update and as noted earlier suspect Internal Head-unit issue. Driving home this afternoon, unit blanks out and comes back telling me requires complete reset??? I'm like WTH? Get home and complete reset. Still no joy on update and now again asking for subscription service update. Now on the phone with Brand engagement. 1st can barely understand the person due to heavy access. Literally had to repeat my VIN six times. Now told need to delete Toyota App and reload from my Iphone. Kept my patience, but sad experience overall.

Is there a way to return to the previous software? My infotainment system has worked awesome until I screwed up and downloaded the update. Now it starts a lot slower, asks if I need to adjust my seat frequently (keeps popping up regardless of what I do), and keeps asking for the PIN, and keeps popping up even after I enter the correct PIN. It also previously went straight to CarPlay, and now I have to press the CarPlay icon repeatedly until it finally decides to go there. This is really frustrating!!! ‘22 Limited with JBL/14”

Interesting people having issue with the update. My truck got the OTA update last week and still operates the same like it was before the update. I mainly use wireless carplay and it connects seconds after starting the truck, connects before I even get to put the truck into D. Only weird thing is I still don't have the Toyota side bar like in the Original Post. :monocle:

but mine works like yours smooth, all I use is CarPlay 100% though

Ahh. That make sense. I was going through menu looking how to enable the side bar. I only got 2050 too.

Please forgive my ignorance. But I’m assuming all these updates only apply to the 14” infotainment systems?

I have the 8” and pretty sure it hasn’t seen an update in over a year.

Mine did the same thing. Download was very slow and then install failed. I turned the truck off and back on, it prompted for update again. This time the download was much faster and it installed successfully. Truck was on home WiFi both times.

Bummer, must be another reason why Toyota wont update my system.
Pretty sure its Panasonic as the license info specifically calls out Panasonic.
Tried the Toyota site, uploaded the json. No update available.

It'll come at some point...if it doesn't, your dealership should be able to perform the update via USB...

My update to 2050 went smoothly earlier this week. First time I started it up I saw the new sidebar, since then it’s been gone. How can I add it back? Many thanks @ryanwgregg and all posters on this thread I look forward to these OTA updates, this was the most elaborate so far

I never got that sidebar. Don't plan to ever use it but curious as to why it shows for some and not others.

I just got a notification to update today. Do I need to be on wifi? Seems like when I start driving it doesn't update or just starts over.

    Curious
I was able to start my update as I was moving, and it finished up before I got home. All I had to do was turn the fella off and on. To my knowledge it was progressing as I moved and not just a stop lights, but I didn't stare at it either.

I really expected it to not start while in motion. I was pretty surprised. I let it go not knowing if it would go blank when it was done, but it just said finished and will apply on the next startup. You just got me excited with that list of release notes!
