Is this now a 3rd revision of part number for the 3rd gen oil filter?

 

I think there's only been one part # revision. That part # has been used for at least a year.

Yes, the last three used to be 010, then it got changed. Now it's N3.

 

Did Toyota call out this number yet (Remedy ?) on the Recall bingo board ?

 

Well, we are getting into April when it was reported here that we should be expecting to see Toyota release design changes to the V35A. I am not sure how or exactly when that will happen, but I am curious to see what comes down.

 

Just do a UZ/UR or a 3SGTE/2JZ/RB26 swap and call it a day. Then you don't have to worry about this recall.

Personally - i wouldn't care if they stuck the T24A hybrid in as a option instead of the V35A (TQ output is close).

 

Well, we’re almost halfway through April. Anyone hear what the remedy will be for this engine recall?
Because I’m involved this time I can almost guarantee it won’t be as generous as the first one.

My guess is if too many calls come in they will just put you on hold with annoying music to listen to.

For a truck that isn't safe to drive?

 

Depends on your state's lemon laws and how long you've had the truck.

 

Unless they issued a do not drive order, I don't think they will do a buyback. Even if they do issue a do not drive order, they will be very unlikely to do a buyback, they usually offer a loaner if your vehicle needs to be parked. If you really wanna buyback, good luck, be ready to fight for it.

 

Is the oil filter the only updated part number?

 

They bought my Capstone back after the engine blew. It needs to be less than 2 years old and inoperable for 30 days. hire a lawyer. I then bought a late year 25 last July and love it.
