Anyone know the difference and which one would be a better route to purchase? Will also be purchasing a bed cover, will the extender and cover have conflicts? Thanks

The OEM is made by AMP. However, it is my understanding that the OEM one is the "v" shaped extender. If you wish to have the full width "U" shape, then have to go to AMP or a dealer.

    See fine print
This. Is addition though the amp brackets require some holes to be drilled. Unless you order the no drill brackets. The part # is somewhere on this site if you look. I forgot who figured it out but there’s a thread on it. Search my friend.

The sort of V shape isn't a whole lot different. I got mine off Craig's List for $120. Brand new, never used.
