Hey folks, I just got a used 2016 Tundra. 51k miles. SR5 badging. Previous owner was in to the black/white color scheme. I'm cool with that, kinda like it myself, but my issue is this....

Running 305/50-r20s. From what I've read, that would require a 3 inch lift. All suspension components are painted black. I cannot find descriptions of the brand or model of any suspension components.

Any thoughts about where I might start to find out what's under there? Pull everything out and sand off the paint?

I don't want to trash good parts (if they ARE good) and I don't want to spend a lotta cash to upgrade stuff that might not need it.

Pics of your set up could help ID lift. Front shocks, top of shocks, UCA. Rear shocks,leaf spring at axle.

Or visit an off road shop and get their opinions.

 

Thanks for the link. found that earlier. that's why i'm thinkin i have at least a 3 inch lift, maybe more. No evidence of cutting and no evidence of rubbing. not sure where to go from there.

 

Let’s see some pictures! It should be fairly easy to identify what you’ve got or least tell you what’s aftermarket

UCA still has factory sticker. it's a stamped steel part.
And i see spacers on the rear. please let me know what else i have under there, if you can tell.

 

Block in Back is correct. Prolly a 3 in.

Many call this a "Block & Spacer" lift or Lift/level if truck sits level. This type is a more affordable lift, not really ideal for ride or off road but generally ok for pavement.

This guy here is the front spacer.

 

It looks like your shocks/struts are just factory black “Gabriel” brand shocks that come on certain models such as the platinum, I doubt they were painted...

Truck is looking good I'm on the same kick with the black and white scheme .
Also I just did some white coil springs on mine. Sets it off a little.
