I contacted the same vendor as the previous times and is down for another one.

If the group size you want isn't available, please put your request in!

    Here we go guys!

    Northstar battery group buy!

This one took me forever to get started. I tried contacting Excide, they expressed NO interest in this. I contacted Optima and they pretty much ignored my constant requests for a discount. I couldn't get a vendor to provide discounts on Odyssey.

Northstar, on the other hand replied and directed me to a distributor that's more than willing to work with me with this one.

For those that are only familiar with Optima, here is a little more information from Northstar:

    http://www.northstarbattery.com/1/2/3.php

Here are the group sizes PER Toyota's website:

    Group size sizing:

The groups sizes that will be included in this group buy are:

    24, 24M, 24F, 27, 27F, 34/78, 31M and 35

    See more here:

    http://buy.northstarbattery.com/

Please make sure to do your research here:

    http://www.northstarbattery.com/northstar/engine/literature.php

    and here:

    http://www.fourwheeler.com/how-to/154-1303-battery-bashing/

    So what is the discount?

We don't need to achieve every tier level for every battery group. The tier level is per quantity, regardless of how many batteries per group get ordered.

FREE SHIPPING TO CONUS (ALASKA, HAWAII AND CANADA - will be custom shipping quotes) for ALL TIER LEVELS

How do I sign up? Here!

If you are interested in this:

Sign up by replying to this thread. Don’t chicken out. You are either in or you aren’t. NO maybe, no waiting on the wife, gf or bf to get permission. There is enough time to make up your mind or find a doctor to sell your kidney or pawn your wife’s jewelry. If you are on the fence to see if it’ll go up to max discount before you jump in, you are HOLDING the group buy back. Don’t be that dude.

    Updated :
Just an FYI everyone. I did the last group buy and moved up to a Group 31 battery. It fits perfectly in the @ragofabrication battery tray. You'll need to extend the positive cables for the 31 since it's so big. I used the new @sdhq_offroad terminals and re did some things. (Turns out sdhq has a bunch of electrical supplies in their store too). Totally worth it! And yes the sdhq switch pros mount does work with all of this. Now the radio, winch and accessories are cleaned up

Does the Rago battery box fit in a Tundra? I looked at it the other day on their site and it doesnt list Tundra as an application. Did you make it work? Any modification required to do it?

After using $250 Optimas for 8 years, then dealing with their Mexico bullshit, I went back to Toyota.

Is there a good amount of folks that have used these with good reviews?

Wondering the same. I do like the AGM technology, but have had really good luck with other AGMs that are considerably cheaper than these (even with the group buy discount).

Here is a video detailing the differences between traditional and AGM batteries for those who are interested:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=99oGcq4-t-4

From what I have read on Northstar's website, they use the flat plate style AGM like he discusses near the end.

I'm definitely in for 2x Group 31M. Thanks.

Is there any performance difference between group 31 and 31M? I see a lot of people on the list opted for the 31M instead of 31. Was wondering why. Also, what (cheaper option) battery tray are people using to fit the group 31 battery? Do not want to spend $180 for the Rago Fabrication tray.
