Need help with trailer light circuit on 2001 Tundra I can’t find any bad wire connections or problems noticeable and not sure on fuse location in engine compartment fuse box. I have heard of a sensor located ? All help is greatly appreciated !I do not have the wiring change over kit as sold by auto parts it’s a direct plug in to factory wiring

More info would be helpful. Running lights, turn signals or nothing works at all. 7 pin or 4 pin connector for the trailer plug ? If nothing works at all it may not be a fuse but a missing ground.

Now I would start checking fuses. My best guess its located under the hood vs inside the truck. Not sure what the label would be on the fuse box cover but maybe pull all of the 15 and 20 amp fuses first. Troubleshooting electrical issues is always a pain. Good luck and I hope its the first fuse you pull !

My first gen knowledge is Tacoma not Tundra but just want to ask...

Isn’t the trailer power wire on a 2001 switched? Are you testing with the key/engine on?
