Just completed my first “ SERVICE “
on my 18’ Tundra yesterday !!
    -oil change, tire rotation etc
Last messy one too- Installed Fumoto valve on oil pan, new aluminum filter housing/ drain hose assembly - using
    Mobile 1- 0W20- advanced mileage
Full synthetic- 8 Quarts brought level on dip stick in middle of the two dots
    Guess that’s RIGHT???

MAJOR complaint is there are NO grease zerks on TUNDRA any were!!
WTF!! - guess Toyota wants you to buy more parts instead of servicing them
to last - my wife’s Fj has them everywhere needed- but it’s an 08’
All parts still good because I grease them every 5000 miles

Any one have good luck with installing your own zerks??

Guess this is the way our world is going- pay MORE get LESS!!

    SORRY for long complaining post!!
    :notsure:

    Ummm. Stuff
Did you look yourself or ask the service person? I asked the service person if they had greased it after my first service and they said there were no grease fittings on a Tundra. At that point I showed them a couple and they said they never knew tundras had grease fittings. Needless to say after that and then the next time of them shorting my rear diff by a quart I don't go back to NorthPark Toyota in San Antonio anymore. Mine is a 15 and has them not many but a few, but I am not sure about 18s.

That's ^^^ my boy. Good on you.

I have the year before. More commonly known as a 2017. I have zerks on the front and rear drive lines. I don't have them, nor provisions to add them, to the front upper and lower ball joints (which I'm used to on my 1997 T100).

My 2006 Tundra had no zerks either. Lifetime lube on steering parts which is okay with me. 225,000 miles over 12 years and alignment was spot on throughout ownership.

Rear driveshaft zerks eliminated mid model year 2017. Mine does not have any.

My 2016 has zerks on the rear drive shaft but not the front. This I can live with but it's still pretty shitty.

Tacomas were first vehicles I ever owned that had grease zerks on ujoints. Other vehicles all Fords. Either F150s or Broncos. I replace a couple of ujoints but never had one completely fail.
