No driver seat back pocket? And what's this clip?

Things I'm starting to notice now that I have a few hundred miles on the truck. No backseat pocket? Is this on all trucks or do the 1794 and platinum have them. Pretty mind boggled on this one as I've never seen a car without them that intended to have people in the back.

Also, notice on the back driver seat this clip on both sides doesn't look like it was installed correctly, what is it?

My 1794 CrewMax has pockets on the back of the seats. Don't know about those clips. Will have to check. Hopefully someone else will know what those are and if it's in correctly.

My impulse buy has fucked me again, lol

Next your going to tell me the platinum seats have better thigh support to! (I'm about to put washers under my seat to raise the front up as I've got a back injury that kills me on long drives)

I wonder what the reasoning to only put them on the passenger side was

My 1794 CM has the same clips with nothing attached. Looks identical to your picture. I don't know about "better" thigh support as I haven't driven anything to compare. Mine does have a separate switch that pumps up that area of the seat. I have major back issues too and it does help.

I can only assume that they feel if you need to reach for something you can only reach the other side and not behind your own chair

This is what you get for going to the grocery store and buying a truck instead, lol. Didn't even occur to me. Oh well.

Correction on the clip. I was looking at the wrong piece (that double hook thingy). The flat/clip with the white line shown in your picture just above the double hook thingy appears to be bent over onto itself. The top piece on mine goes straight up at 90 degrees (perpendicular) to the bottom piece and is attached up underneath where I can't see. It looks like yours just needs to be unfolded and attached.

I wish i had a seat pocket behind the drivers seat especially since Toyota deleted the rear door pockets.

My '14 SR5 DC had no backseat pockets either, that was one of the things I made sure they put on when I got my custom leather seats.

Man I was bummed to find out the little deletes they have done to the limited as well. I had a 07 limited and it was top of line before they made platinum and 1794, had both seats electric, power mirrors, and the back pocket. Traded in for my 16 and it didn't have any of that. Didn't even think to look as well it's a limited

    Not nearly enough room here!
I'm sure Toyota dropped that feature for "safety reasons",like the Driver's Side Grab Handle, Amber Flashers, Adjustable Console and Lights in the doors instead of Yugo-Like reflectors.

The limited trim used to be the top dog during 2007-2009. When they introduced Platinum trim in 2010, their limited trim got pushed down. Now, the limited trim seems to be only slightly better than what SR5 used to be. With limited trim, they get the dual climate control which used to be standard in all Tundras back then, and so on.

I think the clips hold the cables that run the extra thigh support on the platinum edition

Since we're bashing, how about no lighted mirror controls on the dash. They're a bitch to find in the dark. No back seat storage is just plain rude as well.

I have a '15 limited. My '13 Tacoma limited had better features then my current truck. Should have held out for a platinum. Not even an upgraded sound system.

At least Tacomas have under and behind seat storage. No lighted mirror controls either. There are several switched not lit for some reason. Why the 4x4 is in other models but not Tacoma beats me. I think Toyota engineers are on drugs.

Plats have an electric thigh adjustment that makes a HUGE difference. Drivers side only. Honestly it was one of the biggest features that pushed me to a plat.

And Yeah, my clip looks like that too. Always wondered...

I have a 2016 crew max limited and the passenger side has a pocket but the drivers side doesn't. Hadn't really noticed it until I saw this thread but it is very weird that one side has it and the other doesn't!:notsure:
