I went into my toyota dealer today, they have a buy 3 get one free deal for tires. I asked how much to install Nittos in 285/70 size. He came back and kept insisting I was wrong on the size. I told him I know they have the size, I just didn't have the stock number.
    It was frustrating.

Anyone know if this size is hard to get or something like that?

So that size is available but very expensive due to being odd size. Not so popular. 285/70 18 much cheaper and also the 295 70 18

They definitely exist. This was taken off the Nitto website. LT285/70R18 E 127/124Q STOCK NUMBER 217370.

This is an odd ball size though. I asked a local tire shop about them a few months ago and they told me 7-10 days. Sounds like the guy you were dealing with was either stupid, lazy, or both.

I bought a set two months ago at Discount Tire. Got them in less than a week.

Yeah, I knew I saw that size on the Nitto site. Don't mean to be dick, but even before the guy looked up the tires, he struck me as a little slow.

Should be able to get them no problem from discount tire or tirerack. I would never buy tires via a toyota dealership unless it was a hell of a deal, can probably find them cheaper elsewhere. Buy tires from a tire store/dealer- more knowledgeable, usually less $ and they usually do lifetime balance and rotations included in the purchase price.

Just put them on my new LunaRock tundra Pro. But the tires are getting hard to find because of production.
