    Hey everyone!

    A few months ago I got my new-to-me 2010 Tundra SR5.

I got it with 90k miles on it, and after some drama from the dealership I got it from, I've finally gotten it to where I want it!

Darcars Lanham was where I bought it, and the day after I got it home, I started hearing noise from the front diff. Alas it was the dreaded CV driver side bearing in the clamshell diff housing going bad. After taking it back, since I had only had the truck for a day, they kept the truck for almost a month, would not give me status or tell me what's going on, then finally told me a month later that it would take $4k worth of work to fix, and I was on the hook for all of it. After I told them no, since the repair only required a bearing to bushing swap, which a local off-road shop did for $300 bucks, I elected to take my truck back from the dealership, with the plan to take it to the off-road shop (World Tour Off Road in Annapolis). Getting it back, I found that at some point, they smashed my soft top on something, and destroyed the frame. They pretended it never happened, until i provided security cam footage showing the top in perfect condition when they picked it up, and smashed in when they returned it. After about a month of fighting, they finally footed the bill to replace it.

World Tour did the bearing swap, and the truck has been great ever since. 4WD works great, and no weird noises or vibrations anymore.

This forum is where I learned about the bearing issue, and the East Coast Gear Supply bushing fix.

What made me mad, is that if someone didn't know to investigate the issue, and take another path to fix, or the truck was their only vehicle and they needed it back asap, Darcars Lanham would have fleeced them for a repair they didn't need.

    Anyway, glad to be here!

Unfortunately Darcars is definitely an issue to deal with. Dealt with once and that's all I needed for a sour experience with them. Lots of good information here and good people.
