    Hello
After two years and 9 trips to the dealer I sold my 17' f250 and got back in a Tundra. I was trying to wait 6-7 months when there might be info on the 2020 tundra but I couldn't take it any longer and sold it and got a 2018 cement colored crewmax with TRD- exhaust, predator steps (which I cant stand anyone want to trade ) sway bar, air filter, shift knob, skid plate ,AW floor mats and bed liner with rails. I was searching hard for two weeks straight everyday calling looking for a cement one and they are really hard to come by but found one 3 hours away with those parts and was able to buy it. I have had 3 tundras since 07 it seems the gas mileage has not changed but boy are they a quality truck. The v8 rumble is very nice to hear again :)
So I am looking to keep it until 2022 or so giving the 2020 model a few years to get the any bugs worked out. That will be my last truck until I see the reaper . Going to keep this 18 tho it will go to my kids when they start driving. So I want to do a few mods to the truck and want to do it the right way so it does not affect warranty and performance.
This truck below which is NOT mine is the look I want. Is it leveled or lifted ? Can I get it like this with the Bilstein 5100 shocks or Fox or would I need to buy a kit? What would be good for performance and for the money? What size do you all think those tires are? The combination looks real good. If you have the trd skid plate is it possible to get the truck lifted up like this one below or do you have to take it off?

Thanks for reading and thank you for any replies.

Welcome Hoss, That truck is just leveled. You can do that with 5100s and keep your skid.

Welcome from Arizona. The truck in the photo looks like it has a basic level to me. From everything that I've read and seen on this forum, you should be able to get that look with the 5100's. There are a lot of other ways to do it but 5100's seem to be the least expensive way to go while avoiding a spacer lift.

    :yes:That is my truck

    Thanks Holden

That was the night i picked it up, the dealer had installed a 3/1 blockand spacer lift, with a diff drop.it has 275/70 18 in that pic. I have since changed to a Bilstein 6112/5160 setup.
You can get that look with the 5100s and that is the TRD skid, also get some skid plate hardware to make it work.

Nice choice OP. That was my second color choice. Went with MGM.

Anyways, my buddy just put a 2.5” leveling kit up front along with 1.25” spacers and some BFG K02 slightly bigger than stock and it really changes the look of the truck.

If you’re on a budget, I think it’s a great option. If you lift or level and keep the factory wheels/offset, to me it looks very odd.

You could get a decent 3/1 lift setup installed for around $1,600 (Parts included. Say, Toytec for example).

Or could achieve a similar (almost) look with the level and wheel spacers for maybe $500

Larmand thanks for that info really like the look of your truck I will look into a 3-1 lift and the 5100's.. What is going to be the difference between the 5100 and the Bilstein 6112/5160 setup?

Tunderstorm- Thank you I will look into the spacers and toytec and figure out what to go with.

The 6112/5160 level is what I went with. They are a larger piston 60mm. Gives a firmer ride and better offroad dampening. I really like mine I think the ride quality is x1000 better over stock. For the price of $1000 I think toyota could have offered or installed these on the trucks.
