    Hello all,
I recently purchased a used (new to me) 2010 v6 Tundra with 100k on the clock. The transmission was shuddering between gears and the dealership honored their used car 3000 mile powertrain warranty and put in a new/re-manufactured tranmission in her.
This was a one owner truck, and all the original paperwork was in the glove box. The maintenance book that came with the truck never says anything about changing the trans fluid. It just says to inspect it. Is this correct? should I not change the trans fluid?
Anyone here have a similar truck/tranny and change their fluid?

    Thank you!

    I honestly didn't know you could get a tundra with a V6.

There are several threads on here about draining & filling the transmission, and flushing it completely. You'll get differing opinions on which of these is better for our trucks, but most agree that servicing the tranny is recommended, not just inspecting the fluid and leaving it at that.

    Btw, welcome from KCMO!

I have a 2010 Double Cab with the V6. I purchased mine about 9 months ago with 63,000 miles on it.

It has slight shutter around 40 tp 45 mph. It hasn’t changed since I bought it.

I asked the dealer about the tranny service and they stated they don’t do anything till the 90,000 mile mark.

Mine drives good and runs very well. I had the engine oil tested by Blackstone Labs and the wear levels are below what they would normally see.
