New to Trucks but Loved them Since a Little Boy

Hello folks...brand new to the forum, fresh out the factory. I have driven three Toyota Camries, a Nissan Maxima, a Subaru Forester, a Pontiac Bonneville, a Ford Crown Vic...and currently drive a Chevy Suburban LT 1500 long body. However, I have been in love with pick up trucks since I saw the TV show The Fall Guy with Lee Majors back in the day, LOL. I am looking to get a Tundra from 2007 to 2013 body (i.e. 2nd Gen). Currently looking at a 2008 in gorgeous condition, some nice outside mods, CarFax looks like this person took care of their truck, one owner, 32 service history records, no accidents, 90,000 miles, already did water pump and AIP on it.....almost religious oil changes (thus the many service records)....asking $21,000 for it. I am ready to pounce....The wife thinks it's too much but she hasn't researched like I have, and I know these trucks hold their value much better than the Big 3. What do ya think boys and girls? Yes, or No on the purchase?

Would love to see Texas and get some of that awesome BBQ and steak. Actually fell in love with the 1794 Tundras, but a bit out of my budget this time around.
Also, a lot of the ones I have seen for sale have a noticeably worn drivers seat on the dreaded exit side of the seat. lol
The second gen seats seem to be hardier and take more of a beating.

Kinda jealous of you California folks.....would love to visit there sometime before I croak...I am only 44 but ya never know. lol

Beautiful State....been there for some Audio HI-FI shows. Colorado has beautiful views and landscapes.

 

mileage is good. Truck is 12-13 years old, check the frame for rust/rot and check if the cam tower is leaking. I think $18k would be fair.
