Yo! I just picked up this 2011 CrewMax. I'm a long time Tacoma owner, I've been a member at TW for eons. I bought a boat a couple years ago and finally got tired of 35 mph hill climbs after a long trip over the 4th. This truck had been on a local lot for 2 months for god knows why and it is a close color match to my boat so I had to do it.

It pulls this boat like fuggin nothing! I love it.

So far I've gotten weathertechs and I've ordered seat covers.

Lot's of questions so far about this truck! I'm slowly getting to know it. Minor fixes here and there are on my to-do list.

And because I know you all love pics...

    Thank you!!

Can anyone tell me wtf this box is above my mirror? I'm guessing something having to do with a dealer alarm or valet maybe?

Ok, so that was going to be another question of mine! There is a yellow sticker under the hood that says the vehicle is equipped with a remote controlled car starter. I only have the standard 3 button toyota remote. I looked under the dash and don't see an extra harness plugged into the ECU...wondering what else I might look for to see if this actually has a remote start installed....

depending on how good/bad the installer was, peak your head under driver's side dash to see if you see something that shouldn't belong, more often than not...it tends to be obvious when the installer didn't care...

I looked briefly under the driver dash for any kind of out-of-place box and didn't see anything. I'll be replacing the antenna harness this weekend, so I'll look a little more in depth while I'm doing that. I see that some of the aftermarket starters use a harness that also plugs into the passenger side.

Just picked up my plates from the dealer. They handed me a spare key, spare toyota fob, and a code alarm fob! Remote start :bananadance:
