I've wanted a Tundra for 15 years and I finally picked up a 2020 SR5 w/ TSS Package with 45k miles a few months ago. Thanks to this forum I was able to figure out how to make the cosmetic upgrades that I wanted so I am posting a summary here.

    Front Modifications:
    Rear Modifications:
    • Tail Lights: Akkon Red Smoked from Amazon
    • Bulbs: Brake Lights, Turn Signals, 3rd Break Light from Headlight Revolution
    • Rear Bumper Chrom Delete: BumperShellz White
    • Smoked 3rd Break Light Cover: (Still on order from Klearz)
    • Bed Cover: TruXedo Pro X15
    Badging:
    • Removed TSS Sticker on both sides of the bed.
    • Removed SR5 on back doors.
    Interior:
    • Kicker 6 x 9 Comonents in Door, Tweeters in Each Side, 3 ½ Center
    • EDIT: Added Kicked 6.5” in rear door, Kicker 10” Powered Subwoofer
    • Wireless Carplay: Rexing BBY- CPW-1
    • EDIT: Wireless car play was flaky so I am going back to a wire.
    • Vantrue E2 Front and Rear Dash Cam
    Cleaning:
    • Becoming a new expensive hobby in itself. Got a new pressure washer and foam cannon, various detailing products, and applied ceramic coat.
    Future Wants:
    • Rear TRD Sway Bar
    • Replace Factory Amp
    • Magnuson Supercharger
    • Open to other recommendations!

Beautiful! My black wheels came with the TSS package. I like the TRD PRO wheels a lot better.

Truck looks awesome. Glad you were able to get your chrome delete sorted for the front. The storm trooper look is very clean, especially with howbyou are detailing it

If you basically stay on paved roads, the rear sway is not a bad option. If you are doing dirt roads and going off the beaten path. I'd recommend looking into RAS (road Master active suspension) for the rear. Its more money but it will let your rear articulate and absorb bumps better. I have the rear sway and I plan to move to RAS when I can. Just my 2 cents and something more to look into and spend money on

Thanks, appreciate it! And appreciate the tip on the sway bar. I’m on road 99% of the time and tow occasionally so it sounds from your explanation the TRD may be ok.

Did you notice a big upgrade going from the halogen to OEM LED headlights? I’m thinking about making that switch.

Yes, they make a huge difference in brightness (seems like double) and look cooler.

Its a huge improvement. Only negative is if you are in an area that deals with ice build up, the led headlights don't seem to generate enough heat to clear themselves. So if driving in cold and wet, you may have to stop occasionally to clear the ice from them.
But besides that, they are much brighter and provide more illumination to the sides. Completely worth the upgrade.

    Looks great!

How do you like the Akkkn tails? Bright enough?

And did the Kickers make a substantial difference?

Thanks! The tail lights are plenty bright but I added LED bulbs to make sure they would be bright enough. I’m not sure about regular bulbs.

The kicker sub is definitely an improvement. I had to play with the settings. I mostly listen to country and it sounds great at mid volume. It wouldn’t be good with rap at full volume. If I had more money to spend I would have gone with a full enclosure behind the rear seat with a nice amp. But for the money a great addition.

Edit: if you go with the kicker it’s definitely worth adding the control knob. Makes it easy to adjust on the fly. The wire may need to be extended. Not sure because I had a shop install this part for me. I hate working on car stereos.

I have a non JBL system with factory amp under the seat. That amp runs the front and rear door speakers. I can’t tell much difference on the front doors. I am installing an Alpine KTP-445U this weekend and I’m hoping it livens the 6x9s up.

the dash speakers that I replaced are powered by the factory radio and they sound great. Almost too much highs. So I am hoping getting better power to the 6x9s evens it out.

I have also since replaced the rear door speakers with 6 1/2 inch kickers and they sound good.
