This message started appearing on my 2016 Tundra head unit the other day. No update available, clock is gone. Any ideas how to get my clock back or what’s going on? Can’t find anything more recent than 2020 in the forums and they’re all unresolved.

The updates are on Toyota website and you can copy to a USB drive and install. dealer has the navigation and map updates according to the site.

As far as I know, the software doesn't automatically update. What happened to yours that stopped working? Did you try to install or change something?

Nice! I’ll try the site. Thanks much! I had a Maintenance Required displayed on my dash last week and I cleared it. I assume it was for regular scheduled maintenance. I started getting the signal the next day. Maybe that had something to do with it...?

I cleared the Maintenance Required light last week on my 2015. No signals and everything worked fine.

What's the history of your 2016? Purchased new?

Anyone ever tweaked any software or any electronics or hardware mods related to that system or any other system?
Have you ever had the battery disconnected for a while for example for any unrelated reason like replacing the battery with a new battery ... and after restoring the power, was everything fine?

How did you clear the maintenance required signal? Maybe somehow the firmware got zapped.

I know this is an old thread but I have experienced the same issue with my 2016 Tundra. After OTA update I had no clock! Called Toyota and they were no help, tried to update via USB and it won’t allow it. Gray box meaning update not necessary from what I’ve read. Even tried factory reset on unit and that failed!
