I am new to the Toyota and Tundra world, but so far quite pleased with my new to me 08' Tundra DoubleCab 4x4. In the past, I have owned an f150 and a Ram 1500. and since owning my tundra for about a month now and quickly realized that it seems superior to my previous trucks in many regards. I also like the fact that it was made in Texas and lives in Texas as it should. Lastly, I would like to say I hope I can make more connections with tundra owners in the texas hill country area for some light body/paint repair, potentially some offroading, and maybe advice/input about my truck going forward, and that I hope I can contribute to this forum as well as I plan to own this truck for years.

Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)! There a a handful of Texas Tundra folks on this site so you should be able to find someone. And I fully agree. i just got my Tundra in May but I researched for over two years, test driving and reading what actual owners were posting about every truck except the RAM (I will NEVER make the mistake of buying a Dodge/Chrysler product again).

Thanks for the Welcome! I couldn't agree more about FCA vehicles. The only dodge product I owned will be my last. I'm sure some of them work some of the time, but I got rid of my 1500 (no wrecks) after a bad and expensive 7 months of ownership and lost money on it, a mistake I will not make again. Makes sense that the majority of trucks for sale under 8k are rams. Like I said already the Tundra just seems to be much higher quality even considering mine is a base model. So far I love it.
