Hey there everyone! New member here. I'm coming over from TacomaWorld forums where I have a 2014 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 SR5 V6. My wife and I are really considering trading it in for a Tundra. We're learning quick that the Tacoma is getting pretty small and tight for our liking and leaning towards getting a full size.

With that being said, anyone have any advice on the Tundras? As in things to stay away from or watch out for? Not opposed to a pre 2014 but only true requirements are it needs to be crewmax and 4x4.

    Thanks for any input!

Add white in color to that requirement list

Thank you! I tend to want to stay away from white just because of keeping it clean but my wife has a white 2016 Accord and a white tundra would look pretty slick in the driveway next to it!

My Tacoma now is SSM and i don't mind the silver, except it seems like every other tacoma on the road is the same color.

I did once pull my dads 18' lightweight camper. 2800lbs dry and the tacoma had to work for it. Pulled it fine and didnt struggle too much on Ohio hills but i also got 11mpg round trip!

Also thanks everyone for the welcomes!

Yeah you will want to go White. That is a big one to knock off your list. Then watch out for the aftermarket blues. You will spend a fortune on your Tundra with mods, And a Supercharger is a must.

    The end.

How much power does the supercharger give the tundras? I know the second gen tacomas get them close to 300 i believe.

    Hey there from Virginia!:mudding:
My 2014 supercharged TRD Pro produces at least 550 horses. 0-60 in 4.5 seconds. That's the potential with modifications. I had a Tacoma that I loved but, like you, my family outgrew it. Crewmax Tundras have a ton of room in them. Best looking truck on the road by far!
