    Hello friends.

I am new to the forum, great information for all Tundra owners.

Have anyone bumper pulled a Grand Design Imagine 2800BH RV?

I have a 2018 SR5 Tundra 5.7L 4.3 axel ratio with tow package, according with the literature and calculators I should be fine pulling the RV but want get advise before pull the trigger. UVW 6,386lb hitch 604lb, length 32’.

I will not pull often since RV will be like my home at construction site, however may need to take it with me sometime. I will get a weight distribution hitch to help while driving.

Any advise will be highly appreciated.

    Thanks
    Ed

I would not pull that without a WDH. Moving it around the property or a mile or two is one thing, but for normal travel, get the WDH. As far as towing with a Tundra (or any 1/2 ton for that matter) if you keep your tongue weight in check and are within your payload limit, everything else will be golden.

The tow rating manufactures put out are generally BS. A half ton pickup will usually run out of payload (tongue weight) long before nearing total tow capacity. So, if that trailers loaded hitch weight is within spec for your truck, no issue....it is not a super heavy trailer. And yes, you need to deduct what you are carrying in your truck from the payload- so it you have a camper shell, heavy bumpers, 300 lbs of cargo, all that gets subtracted from available payload.
