Hey Guys my name is Angel. I live in Southern California and I’m on the market for a tundra. I’m hoping you guys can help me out. I saw a 2008 Tundra CM SR5. 136,000 miles. It comes with a camper shell. Original owner. He wants 15K and won’t go lower. The other one is a 2012 tundra with 160,000 miles. He wants 13,500. Both are 5.7. Is it worth it to pay more for the older truck with less miles and being a SR5? Thank you guys

Really depends on your budget and which one you are drawn to. A Tundra hitting 100k mi is just gettin started. Regular maintenance will get you over 300k mi.

Front Bilstein 6112 shocks & Bilstein springs. Rear Bilstein 5160 remote Reservoir shocks, Wheeler’s Off-road add-a-leafs. LED lighting. Pioneer Avic 7200NEX Nav Head unit. Borla cat back exhaust.
As an FYI, if you want a shell, and you buy one without a shell, they run about $1,000-$1,500 used, and good luck finding one that fits and is color matching. New they run over $2,000.

Miles vs years is tough. If you plan to keep it for a long time, I’d pick fewer miles. If you want resale value, I’d probably pick the newer truck.

    Good luck!

It sounds like the newer one is a base model but the older one is a SR5.
