Hello all, just picked up an '04 manual 8' bed single cab with 66,000 miles from one owner I've known for decades. Ruins like a sewing machine and very tight.

Toyota mechanic friend says I need timing belt (specs are 90k miles or 10 years) and water pump.

My main question is the A and B odometers and the clock do not retain mileage and time when truck is turned off. Odes revert to 0.0 and clock reverts to 1:00.

Second question is dome light has no power and not sure which fuse is the dome light from the rear cover diagram, and bed light does not work. Has anybody replaced a similar bed light with a LED fixture?

Thanks for any help and thanks for this forum!

It's very possible all your issues are related to the dome light fuse. Should be a dome light fuse in one of the interior fuse panels.

If the 04 is the 3.4 V6 I'm pretty sure that is a non interference engine. If the belt breaks you won't destroy your engine but if that belt has never been done I'm sure it's time to do it.
