Just a quick shout out to everyone to say "HI"!

My first Tundra was a 2012 DC grade MGM 4WD 4.6L with 4.10 rear end that I bought new and had for a little over 4-1/2 years. I loved this truck and it never gave me any major issues. We sold our pop-up and bought a new 2016 Jayco 26BH travel trailer a little over a year ago. The 4.6 did good last summer but worked hard in the mountains. The 26.4 gal tank got about 200 miles while towing before I was on fumes. So this past Black Friday I picked up a 2017 CM SR5 MGM 4WD 5.7L with the 38 gal tank and 4.30 rear end. Truck came with factory spray in bedliner and the brushed stainless steel running boards. My '12 had drop in bedliner and the same running boards. As with my '12, the '17 is awesome. Can't wait to see how it pulls the camper this spring and I'm already loving the massive amount of room in the cab and the huge gas tank.

For mods so far on the '17, I fitted it up with an ARE V-Series color MGM fiberglass cap (same model I had on my '12), TRD sway bar, tow mirrors from my '12, AVS in channel vent shades, OEM heavy duty bed mat, TRD shifter, Salex center console tray. I have the OEM exhaust tip, OEM chrome tailgate inserts and OEM chrome handles, just waiting for it to get a little warmer outside before I put them on. I also have an ESP plastic storage unit for under the back seat on order, miss all the storage I had in the DC.

Here are some pics of both trucks from when my new truck came in:

Nope. The 2012 is telling 2017: "They are your family now. Take care of them and love them as I have. They are abandoning me, but I know they mean well and I won't hold any grudges against them. Tell them goodbye for me."

If it wasn't for the new 38 gallon tank option, bigger travel trailer and the need for more room for our growing family I would have kept the '12 for many more years. It will be greatly missed for sure. It's new family got a very well taken care of and great truck!

Thank you all for the warm welcome!!

It's 16° out here...burrr, but I just went out and took a quick picture of the new truck with the cap on it next to the Jayco. Please don't mind how dirty it is with the road salt... :( I also put a picture of the '12 that I took back in September in the same spot.
