I love my new truck, however, the seat on the driver side started cracking at 3000 miles on the plastic by your left hand. Now at 10,000 miles it is much worse. Toyota tells me that it can’t be warranty because of “outside influences “. I guess my rear end getting in and out that truck has been too much for it to handle. Anyone else having that problem with their tundra?

Welcome from the Great White North.

There has been quite a few people with the cracked seat problem. I would go back and argue this with your dealer. Show him some of the posts provided by @Drootz above. Good luck.

Thanks for the kind welcome! I’m new at this and first attempt at a forum so if I screw up let me know.
The dealer texted me back today and said they would fix this seat as a “good will” jester. You pay $61,000 for a truck and the seat goes bad and they want to make fill needy for even requesting it repaired. Go figure. Oh, and did I tell you I’m still waiting on my second FOB from when I bought it last November. Steamed up right now!

It's a defective part, not a "good will" gesture. No harm in reminding them of that.

As for the second fob, lots of people in the same boat. On a positive note at least your not waiting for computer chips for your heated steering wheel or heated seats like some other manufacturers are doing and selling incomplete vehicles.

Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)! I would find another dealer to work with. That is a ridiculous response.
