Had enough of that corporate life and removed myself from the workforce. Rid myself of the SUV and found a 2010 Limited TRD 5.7L with 16k miles. Now the fun really starts!!! I'm gonna need your help in spending my money. The first order of business is to level it, wheels and tires. Can't really raise it too high because the wife is petite and she literally has to jump out now.

I've settled on the Fuel FF19 wheels, 20x9, backspacing 5, offset of +1 but can't decide on how to level it. I'm looking for input as to what the "BEST" way to level it. If I'm way outta line let me know but my options are adjustable coilovers or spacers. Looking for pros and cons of each. Any issues others have experienced with either. Any recommended brands.

Bilstein 6112s are a solid way to go. Kings, ADS, Icon, Fox. Take your pick!

welcome to the "house of modness" as someone put it when I joined up.
Don't worry this site is good at helping others spend money.
with respect to your question on how to level it. What is your budget? there is always a "better" way that is more expensive.

As other said, what is your budget you are looking to spend? Do you plan on taking the truck offroad or staying on road and just for looks? Nothing wrong with either one, but that plays a large part in "how you life it".

One thing to consider with the wheels, is what type of stance you are looking for. The stock wheels have an offset of +60mm so the ones you are looking at with a +1mm are going to stick out about 2" from where the stock ones are. That's fine if you want that look or plan to add flares, just wanted to make sure you understood the offset. I've seen someone before only care about the look of the wheels and bought them, then when they got mounted, they were pissed that they stuck out so much from the truck and ended up having to swap.

    Oh, and Welcome!!!

Thanks for the hearty welcome, Everyone. Well, there is no budget!!! I generally start at the top and work my way down and my wife tempers my enthusiasm now that I'm retired. It is a 4x4 that mostly will see pavement but will see dirt roads periodically. Nothing major, nothing harsh but to visit some family I have to go down that dirt path. There will be times where I'd tow something. Maybe a handful of times in a year. During normal driving I'd have the coilovers at 2" and drop the front maybe an inch when towing. Depends on the weight towed, I guess. I'm eyeballing the Toytec and ICON coilovers. Any preference? Should I drop the diff too?

Working with the local tire shop we spoke with Fuel and they said a 285 tire would stick out about an inch, a 275 less, a 305 even more. Once I get the wheels they're willing to start slapping on tires to check look and fit. Here's where it gets complicated. Once I buy the wheels they're mine but if they cause the tire to stick out too far for my liking then I can add flares but then I'd want to fill the flare which means I could actually go wider (would that cause me to have to lift higher?). Could I fill a flare with 20x9 wheels? Or does it depend on the flare? Or would I have to go 20x10 or wider? Or would a wider tire work/look okay?

Anyone who knows me knows I ask a lot of questions but thanks for all your help. And I apologize for being anal as the wifely unit calls me.

I’d go with OME 614’s with SPC uca and +3’s from Coachbuilder. Had that set up and loved it.
