    Hey. I'm a lifelong VW guy. Gave up on those when I started a family and went with domestic. I finally decided I need a truck and did a bunch of research. Everything I wanted in a truck pointed me to the First Gen Tundra Double Cabs. I looked around for a while and finally got what I hope was a deal on this beauty from a dirt lot dealer in Apache Junction. She's got some scars, but I love them. I'm stoked to have a project that I'm excited about. I used to do all the work on my VW's back in the day and I'm looking forward to tinkering on the Tundra for years to come.

    Yep, 1st Gens rule dude, you're going to like it. I started with a 2001 Tundra and just upgraded to a 2019 Tundra so i'd say with some TLC you could have it for a very long time. Only reason i sold my 2001 is cuz of the growing family, mine had the 3rd door, not the full doors like you have.
