As far as of i order the exhaust and i dont like the sound and stuff

 

don't think spd would sell the the "S" piece they use but a pre-fabbed equalizer loop could also be an option too if you already welded up your own exhaust. think someone here is running one on their custom exhaust and they don't seem too expensive

I was also thinking of just ordering it to get the dimensions off the loop pipe and then return it without installing the exhaust

 

You could order a loop pipe like mentioned above for less trouble for both you and Spd.

 

Any good exhaust shop can fabricate the s section. And you can do an axle dump with a hemholtz resonators after the muffler for drone. Keith at dirty deeds has done some hemholts res's for the spd.

 

Two U pipes and a couple of 30deg or 45deg elbows with 2-4" legs is what you need to make a loop like above. The offset using the elbows to get the loop back onto the same plane as the passenger side will be dependent on how your custom 3" system is designed. I made the loop on my system using 2.5" tubing.

FWIW, I'm going to be pulling my system off and putting stock back on again in a few weeks (like I did last Winter) because when the temps drop and stay around freezing, the resonance is horrible on my commute to work. I never got around to building the resonators because life. But over the Winter I'm going to cut out the X pipe and add a Y so I can attach it to the stock tailpipe. Hoping that will cut down on resonance so I can run it year around. I do love the sound and clean appearance without the tailpipe though.

Passenger side. The exhaust exits on passenger side, so the driver side has longer to travel; the s bend is to add length to the passenger side to make them equal length.

HA! Now that I'm not living out of state, I pulled the cat guards off my RCI skid plate; halfway hoping the same...

Buy the SPDs, then sell your stock ones to someone in need of some, or a scrap yard to pay for them.

I am going to sell my 8" BAM and go SPD. Just need to find a buyer

 

SPD exhaust will ship this week. I look forward to comparing the two and will do a write-up with my thoughts. I also noticed the price went up +$100 right after my order.

After multiple calls, it finally shipped after 1 month. SPD kept giving me different answers or just not calling me back. Expected delivery Wednesday. Unless its obnoxious, I'm pretty sure I'll be keeping the SPD and selling the DD 8"

 

Hate runarounds like that. Hopefully thays not a normal business. I really like the sound and am seriously considering getting. Appreciate the update.
