Hi all, I just did a little re-engineering of my under hood compressor and air tank. I also thought of fellow Tundra owner's that might need a little more space for relays and electrical components. It took quite some time but have come up with a simple bracket that can hold a lot of weight and is very easy to install.
I have been kicking a price around and think just for starters I want to keep it affordable at $60.00 + Shipping for now. I'm just going to offer just the base mount unpainted. That way you can customize with any type of material (plastic, aluminum, steel, SS) for the top plate and bolt down or put a hinge on. And I know everyone has a can of flat black in the garage. The top plate measurements are 14 5/8" × 9 3/4" , from the top plate to the hood insulation you have roughly 7 5/8"
I made a few YouTube vids of the install and of some measurements. It should fit 3rd gen from 2014 to 2019 and if someone might pipe in and inform me that it might fit 07 to 13. Thanks john

Hey John, that's brilliant. I'll definitely be looking to get 1 from you when I'm ready to install my horns, compressor and tank. I love the idea of it. I'd be happy either way, hinged or bolt down, any material top or color. Long as it serves the purpose of holding the tank and compressor so close to firewall and stock horn location, I would love to get 1 when I'm ready and will definitely reach out. I like the idea of the hinge so you can still access the fuse box, only concern would be it popping up on big bumps. Guess u could always put a lock on other side to keep it down to top of box. Long as it didn't pop up I love the idea of quick access to fuse box if needed. Love it John, I'm definitely interested in this. Soon as I get my other couple projects out the way I'll be looking to get 1 installed. I'll try not to be picky and get whatever u got left over. Love the idea.

I have two 5/16 bolts next to the fenderwell for holding my top plate down along with the hinge, have a buddy that I have check with on some 90% quick turn screws he uses on stock cars. That would be the perfect combination with the hinge. Also checking for setting up the compressor with a 7-pin coupler so it could be used on rear of the truck or at the camp site.

Hi John, now that my BD LEDs are all set in my rear bumper, I'll be looking to move onto my next most important project shortly, which is my train horns, tank, and compressor.

I think this is where you might come in. How much is my standard unit gonna cost me, buddy ol pal? On that price, just remember we are best friends, there's nobody on this forum you like better than me, lol.

Is there anything I should do in advance, like measuring my tank and compressor to make sure they'll fit on there. I think my cousin has a larger tank than the one I already have and I think his larger tank might give me the ability to air up tires off his, where I think my smaller tank is only good for the horns. Should I give him a shout to see if he's willing to swap tanks with me and if so, get the measurements off his to make sure my compressor and his tank will work together and fit on the standard unit? If so, you got any brilliant ideas on how best to set that all up? TIA

Just my tank is 6" × 19" I believe you can safely go 7 1/2" high and not sure but maybe another 2 to 3 inches forward.20180903_111339.jpg
