No, not another truck but better. My wife and I are expecting our first child, a baby girl!! She's 6 months along now and couldn't be more excited!

Unfortunately we weren't able to conceive the normal drunken night out way so we had to go through a couple rounds of IVF, which has been an emotional roller coaster and definitely tested the limits of our marriage. In the end it all worked out and we are stoked!

Yeah until they start dating, then you gotta worry about wasting ammo on boyfriends. Well.....not really WASTING ammo when it's more cathartic than paper targets.....right?

That is exactly what mine said verbatim. So far, it has held true.

They are great. I'm joking. We didn't care what we had as long as they were healthy and happy.

Oh man, that's what I keep thinking about myself. Thankfully my wife was a huge goody goody growing up.

Hoping it balances out our future kids actions! LOL

Exactly!!! What scares me is the stuff that we wont be prepared for. Who knows what the kids will be into 15 - 20 years from now and what new apps will be out.

My wife was in a sorority and is still an active advisor and everyone keeps talking about our daughter being a legacy.. and I'm just over here like NOPE!

I don't even want to think about that!! One thing I know is I ain't giving my kids a smartphone until they're driving age. Before that, it'll be a Nokia. 'Course I'm gonna let them play on an IPad but it won't be theirs. Definitely making them play OUTSIDE. I'm a personal trainer so health and exercise is a big thing for me, especially with "text neck" and the obesity epidemic.

Won't even touch down on how kids are exposed to "adult situations" at a younger age and the world problems etc etc etc.

Ouch....yeah we ALL know what Greek chapters are about!! I don't blame you brother!!

I lift for a reason. My daughter (10) has made it clear to the boys that ask her to a dance that her dad will not allow any boyfriends.
I remember when I had to talk to some kid in her kindergarten class about keeping his hands to himself ...guess he went up to the teacher "is that her daddy?"
    -yes, it sure is.
    "He scares me."
-well little Johnny, that's his daughter.

    True story

I feel ya on the smart phone. Its crazy that kids are getting phones younger and younger these days. Nokias are the best lol. Never ran out of battery and snake was the best game lol. Some of the other things we have decided on is that she will be getting a job at 16, I don't mind helping her with her first car (truck) but it will be a beater 5 speed and she will pay her own car insurance.

I'm with you on that one bud.

I lift for the same reason. Goal is to scare my daughters boyfriends and husband carrying on to my grand babies boyfriends and husbands.

guns and ammo is only for if my future daughter starts dating a 400 lb lineman.

Eye to eye on all that!

We should get together and write a book "how to REALLY raise your kids" LOL

Shit my first car was my dads hand me down. A baby blue 89 Volvo. For graduation, he did get me a 99 Tacoma prerunner (2 years old at the time) but that was it! The rest was entirely up to me. Teaches you a hell of a lot of responsibility as you go to college.
